Thumbs up just saw the red X6 in person at BMW SD ... WOW =)

i gotta say, i love it lol. if i didn't want to stay with a convertible, and if this was next year already -- e.g., working at the corp law firm -- i'd totally grab a red twin-turbo X6 lol.

looking at it today, in the flesh, it just hit me: BMW is targeting ONE type of demographic with this vehicle:

the successful, single bachlor lol.

What other type of person would spend $60K+ on a larg(ish) vehicle that serves no more practical purpose than an ordinary sedan, and looks totally different to EVERYthing else out there?

And speaking of its looks, i thinjk it looks stunning: chubby, yes, but in a beefy, muscular sorta way too lol.

Interesting thought Crosvs...I too checked out the X6 today. All this time I thought it was going to be a little larger than a FX series....boy was I wrong. This thing is huge...I'm a 6 footer and the trunk deck was hitting me in the chest. It was sitting on the 20's but there was still room for more wheel. It definitely has a presence because of it's size. The interior was standard BMW. I'm still not a fan but I think if someone grabs one and lowers it a couple of inches...it could really turn heads. I know someone will say, what would be the point of lowering it since it was probably purchased for that high sitting position. Well, I agree so that's why I know the X6 isn't for me. I'll take my BMW in just a 6 no X .....Phil

yeah, you're right about its sheer size: i noticed that too -- i stand nearly 6'5" and couldn't believe how high up the trunk lid was on my torso.
