Well the unit was all taped up. Saw rims on it like I didn't see before (in comparison with other X6's on lot) and then the rear exhaust was huge. For whatever reason, it was also covered with black tape... emblems and all on wheels and front and back and tape stripes down the side. I took the pics myself so no photo-chopping.

That's a tester.....all the preproduction tester X6's have/had two stainless steel wire mesh exhaust vents on the hood.Maybe the Hybrid X6?.....I need to ask some of my contacts why BMW felt the need to vent hot underhood turbo temps in testers,but not production cars???? I've always thought those vents added a nice little sporty look to the hood!! Disappointed they did not make it into production. Nice pic!!! Thanks.PalBay

well now there are two things i dont like about this model, the limited vision from the rear view and now the hood vents. They look like they are melting away, ....
