Which option would you choose?

If you had to choose between Heads-Up Display and Active Steering for a 50i which would you order?

Heads up display. Just got my first one on my new M5 and I freaking love it. Great if you ever use Nav. I really like that. Went back and forth on my 2008 X5, but now that I have used it, I wish I had sprung for it. Nice feature.

I have never used HUD, but have active steering and would not opt for it again.

That is a tough choice....do you use Nav much? If so then HUD for sure. If you use you Nav on occasion and you use the X6 for around town and if the Mrs. is driving it, than I would suggest the Active Steering.

I vote for the HUD. It's a cool feature that really distinguishes the BMW brand from others. Plus it is useful. I don't like the lack of feel with active steering (but it could be that I'm not use to it).

HUD, unless you do a lot of mountain driving.

I'm not planning to get either, but I would go with HUD over Active steer!

Thanks for all of the replies. I think I am leaning toward HUD as I drove an M5 with it and really liked it. I have also read a lot of mixed reviews regarding Active Steering.

So you gave the HUD a test drive, I would recommend doing the same with the active steering option. I have also read mixed reviews about it (and the HUD), and would test it out to see if I liked it.

Good luck with your decision! Let us know what you go for.
