Removing Roof Rails
I have finally got back into the X6 market and have purchased a new X6 35d which was sitting in the showroom last week. I managed to bag a MASSIVE discount on the car, however it has black roof rails. I do not like Roof Rails on the X6 as I feel it spoils the lines of the car. Are the rails easy to remove, or do I have to take the headlining out to gain access as my dealer suggests? Many thanks. |

I am afraid I can't help, but congrats on the new purchase.
You don't mind asking how much discount you got on your car? |

Don't know about X6 but people have removed rails from X5 and you can get the things to plug holes from dealer.

Double checked with dealer yesterday prior to collecting X6 late yesterday evening. Definately cannot remove roof rails without taking out headlining
Great car though, drives very well |

Don't believe the dealer, I would check myself. People have installed /removed on X5 without touching headliner. Why would they change on X6.
