First Used X6????

Saw this car today and about wrecked turning around.First "Preowned" X6 I've run across.I did not have time to inquire within.It pained me to see the noble X6 w/ run of the mill garden variety used cars...sans the 5 Series and Mini.I'm going out of town tomorrow...if its still on the lot when I return...I'll get the details.Thanks! I am sure in this economy the guy could not afford X6 and traded it for some other affordable car. Did you ask the dealer about the X6 story?

The word "wholesale" on the sign could tell part of the story. Maybe it's a car left over from a brokered deal that went bad. Or perhaps it's a BMW demo with a negative history. Many cars used in the BMW Drive Experiences are disqualified from CPO or OOP; they are passed over by the authorized BMW dealers and consequently end up in the Manheim auctions. Definitely pull a Carfax and ask for vehicle disclosures.

Went to the dealership and the same 5 X6s that I saw three weeks are still on the lot. I can understand why they are turning for resale- things are rough.

Where? I'd look for doctored vin tags, it probably got stolen from their storage field or a rebuilt wreck...

Go to Autotrader.com and there are many used ones for sale.....

Though I have to agree, this is a shady looking used cars lot!

I have seen many pre-owned X6's for sale way before they released in US.

Sometimes the vehicle is even damaged during delivery (minor) so the dealer cannot sell it - hence passed onto a wholesaler.

My dealer only gave me $65k for my 2008 X6 50i (original msrp $78,900) with 6,400 miles when I did a buyback with them to replace with an '09.
