Thoughts on the X6 Performance Kit....

Have not held them side by side but visually, the X6 performance kit looks better on the X6 than the X6M.....

Anyone else concur ?

That is indeed it. I've still yet to hold pics side by side but I'm leaning on ///M6 EOY but the body of the Performance X6 pkg drew me more.

CMY - How about a review on semi long term rear vision on either the back window or just overall....being able to check out the rear.

It was a bitch at first. Not so much the sight out of the rear window, but the C pillars were making me crazy. I always glance over my shoulder when changing lanes and the pillar was right in my line of sight. It took some getting used to but I'm good now. I pan all my mirrors constantly, which helps in knowing who is where. After adjusting my mirrors out wide - you put your head against the drivers window and adjust the mirror with your head in that position. For the passenger mirror, you put your head toward the center of the armrest and adjust your mirror from that position. It's weird at first but eliminates the blind spots. I also have my trusty little spot mirrors.

The backup camera is also better than what was in my '08 X5.

I guess it's like all things in life. We just figure out a way to live with the deficiencies. Spot mirrors are great - I just hate they way they do look...

AFAIK, there is OEM Aspherical Mirrors. Dunno if the combo of Aspheric/dimming exist but but they are pricey sunvabitches.

Thx regardless for your feedback

I don't mind the spots. I've had them on every vehicle I've owned going back 20 years.
