X6 active hybrid?

Does any one own an X6 hybrid? I am considering changing my E70 for a X6 5.0 hybrid since petrol E70's are so thirsty, but I don't want to buy a diesel.

I was looking at many Hybrid options but the X6 is by far the best option for me, I don't like any other 4X4 hybrids Any suggestions?

no just looking at all the options available, I like the cayenne hybrid as well, but I already have a cayenne so I don't want two cayenne's
I have also noticed that the X6 hybrid is only available in the US, not in Europe or anywhere else in the world, why?

Most of the rest of the world has a large Diesel market which lessens the economics of hybrids. The US is now starting to get diesels but in a limited number of models. As an example, the US can't get the 40d variants because of homologation issues, but they can get the 35d which we no longer can.

The X6 was US only at launch and only later did everyone else get it, so the same may happen with the Hybrid X6. I guess it's down to market forces.

I am also checking out the X6 option. No Hybrid version in the UK??? Wierd, because thats what my dealer is trying to sell me. It costs as much as the X6 M here, so I am exploring the 50 version. I know the fuel factor is an issue but the price difference is also an issue and as bad as this sounds ... I don't want a hybrid now.

I agree with X5Sport about the US getting more into diesels but the the fact that 35d's are no longer available in Europe is because the 40d is the same engine but with higher twin turbo output.

I drove an x6 active hybrid and it did have a lot of power. It's too bad that adaptive drive isn't available though - that is one must-have option in my book.
