Visiting from the e53 forum
I am trying to help my buddy out with his X6 (F16) because he has a US version over here in the Middle East and is try to update his i-drive software to be able to link to his Android phone and use Google Maps. Any knowledge or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to do an update when the idrive is set for over the air only (North America)?

I got this from doing a little research so take this with a grain of salt but you might be able to update it via USB but this might only update phone and Bluetooth compatibilities not the full firmware
