FS: 2005 4.8is LeMans Blue - Lots of maintenance
 

Up for sale is a 2005 X5 4.8is in LeMans Blue with 170K. I bought the truck at 111K and have done tons of work to bring her back. Car is located in Monmouth county, NJ - shipping is at buyer's expense. $10,900. I am not willing to part this truck out.

About me, I've always dreamed of a 4.8is ever since I saw one at the NY Auto show in 2004/2005. They had an Imola Red one and I was blown away. I had the chance to buy one in March of 2012. This truck is my 8th BMW. I've been a CCA member for 15 years. I believe in old school (Mike Miller) maintenance. I have "invested" a lot of money in the truck to bring her back to her former glory and it shows through how well this 11 year old baby presents. I have a binder filled with receipts to show.

A short summary of work:

Dinan exhaust and strut brace, new AC compressor, blower motor, rebuilt steering rack, front axle boots, all new OE suspension front and back (arms and bushings), new heated steering wheel, silver interior trim, black leather / silver Alcantara sport seats, rubber floor mats, new air spring compressor w/ control module, 1x ride height sensor, vacuum pump o-ring, T-stat, new FSR, fluid changes (brakes, front and rear diff), new belts, pulleys, spark plugs, air filter, new fuel pump, tons of work. Conti DW tires on OE 20" wheels included. I've used a OE sun screen and seat covers front and back. Car has a clear bra installed. Includes not yet installed DINAN CAI.

Also a set of 18" OE wheels with Bridgestone Blizzaks included in sale.

Did I miss asking price?

Not to scavenge but If you are interested in selling Dinan exhaust for an 06 stock 4.8is exhaust plus cash, pm me.

I'm not sure why everyone has become hyper-sensitive here and painting me out to be a jerk-face because I typed a short response that ended in the words "no thank you". None of you know me from Adam and if you look at my online reputation (for what that is worth) in almost every other BMW-related message board (I use the same screen name) you'll see that not only am I quite active, I contribute a ton to the community and have completed a number of transactions with others. I have an active YouTube channel with dozens of videos and DIY guides for repair and maintenance.

I appreciate the offer for the Dinan exhaust plus stock, I didn't see that you offered the stock exhaust in place when I typed the response. I am very sorry for any trouble and emotional distress that may have caused you and anyone else reading this over the Internet. The bottom line is I have a toddler, an 8 month pregnant wife and in the process of moving, I don't have time to bring my car to a shop, remove and re-install, ship out parts for an extra few hundred dollars, I am sure that is relate-able.

The car is being sold as is. If you would like any of the Dinan parts, I am happy to sell them to you, they come with a complete truck included. :)
