Brand New Michelins and Replica 168's For Sale

Hi All,
I am selling my replica 168's from Eurotech along with the Michelin Diamaris.
The tires only have 200 miles on them. I purchased them from Eurotech and quickly removed them bc they were damaged due to shipping.

You can read more about that here: Post #3
http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/14767-my-tires.html

Eurotech has since replaced them but now I'm not as interested anymore.
All this back and forth...I just don't care as much.

You will also be getting the lug nuts and rings (in case you need them).

The tires were balanced but they still may need to be aligned.

If you're interested send me a pm.

Thanks!

front 275/40 and rear 315/35.

Price?

blackbeauty 05-23-2006 08:17 PM

$2,400 including shipping. i am still taking a loss bc i paid for mounting and such, however, that's my problem not yours. :)

benathon 05-23-2006 08:47 PM

Would you sell without tires?

Wagner 05-23-2006 09:20 PM

Mari- are you going back to stock or something? Losing your zeal for mods or what?

JV

blackbeauty 05-24-2006 08:25 AM

lol. JV, i never was able to enjoy the rims and tires. they were only on my X for about 2 days, max.

i definitely want a fatter tire but have NO idea what size. i think i went crazy & went for the biggest ones i could fit on my car. hehehe...

btw RB's are going on today...so i haven't completely lost it. ;)

blackbeauty 05-24-2006 09:48 AM

btw i'm planning on selling the rims for $1100...that should also cover shipping. and if you live close i may even drive them to you. :)

What didn't you like? I love the look of those (168?). After a rocky start with my 19s I do love them. I adjusted the tire pressure, it was slightly off. Although I do most of my daily driving on local streets, once on the highway they are incredible (the diamaris). I fell in love on the DC trip! I'll deal with the rougher ride on the streets.

blackbeauty 05-24-2006 09:57 AM

i think i should have done 19's. i HATED the ride. however, i think most of the problem was in the alignment.

i still LOVE those rims and will be sad to se them go.

yk what tho, it's all the back and forth that has left me irritated about the entire thing. it's a month and the rims and tires are still NOT on my car. i spent all this money and it seems like it was wasted. i dunno...
i think next time i'll do it right and get OEM rims, jmo.

blackbeauty 05-25-2006 12:21 AM

bump

benathon 05-25-2006 12:56 AM

So these are used? Is $1100 your best price?

John Davenport 05-25-2006 01:32 AM

How much for the tires?

A lot of people I know have indicated that for some strange reason the 20's ride better than the 19's. I'd check that out before getting a set of 19's.

My 18's ride a 100% better than my 19's, but I like the look of the 19's 100% more.

I don't know Jeff. As far as local streets and roadways, potholes, bumps and the like I agree that the 18s are better. However, when it comes to any fast turn, like a left have to go now turn, or on the highway, the 19s blow away the 18s. No question.

For handling, I agree the 19's are head and shoulders better than the 18's. But the overall ride quality on the 18's is so much better.

i have a FAR commute for work. and overall i think that was the biggest issue i had with the 20's. i just didnt find the ride as comfortable as the 17's. let's face it, most of the miles were/are highway, so i wasn't encountering sharp turns, or a track type experience (for lack of a better phrase).

my friend did call me tonight and asked me to hold onto the tires and rims for a month. since the tires are still relatively new they (and i) need to get "adjusted" to the road ahead.

AutoXer 05-25-2006 11:52 PM

Now you got me worry because I have the same setup as you, and have not put them on yet. But I am sure I will like the look so much and I don't mind a bumpy ride!

blackbeauty 05-26-2006 01:08 AM

i LOVE the look, too. that is the internal conflict i am having. LOL

blackbeauty 05-26-2006 01:54 PM

auto, when are you putting on the rims and tires?

AutoXer 05-26-2006 11:57 PM

I ordered some Toyo tires, the fronts are on back order, and I expect them in within the next two weeks. And then on they go. I will let you know what I think about the ride. I have 18's on now with sports package, so the ride is already kind of bumpy. But I don't mind it. Hope my wheels are not bent.

blackbeauty 05-27-2006 10:27 AM

i'm sure they'll be fine. make sure you take pics! :)

Centurion 05-29-2006 03:09 PM

they still avail???? Im not sure if you mentioned above..but what are you asking??

Centurion 05-29-2006 03:11 PM

nevermind i saw ....so your asking 2400$ for tires and rims...and they are still pretty much brand new?

blackbeauty 05-30-2006 09:08 PM

yep. they were only on my X for two days.

blackbeauty 05-30-2006 09:10 PM

also, two of the rims (one front one rear) are spankin NEW. eurotech are sending me two NEW replacement wheels.

SNIFFLES 05-30-2006 09:14 PM

Those are soooooooooo nice, I wish I didn't just buy replica 87's with Tires:(

nicolaasdb 05-31-2006 06:54 AM

they are replicas, you can buy brandnew replicas on ebay for 950! and brandnew tires shouldn't go for more than 1200 incl mounting balancing etc...so why paying 2400??..or did I mis a couple of postings??

nicolaasdb 05-31-2006 07:02 AM

I read all posts...don't understand the 2400 bucks..sorry to hear you are over them...but the tires are used and so are the rims....you got to take a loss, that is how it works...that is life! Maybe not on the BMW site....?? I am confused! They look great under your X5, yet you want 17" rims?? Well goodluck. Sorry to budd in.

blackbeauty 05-31-2006 08:08 PM

i want to say THANK YOU to all of the pm's. i have not responded to some of you bc i really needed to think about what i wanted to do. i hope you understand. this was a costly venture for me and i knew, either way, i was going to lose out BIG TIME. another thanks to those of you who pointed out, i should really consider keeping them for awhile, before i decide to sell.

with that being said, i have decided to put the tires and rims back on my X...i mean, it is summer, right?!?!
