NOW E70 Selling adj. rear endlinks E39,E65, E66, & X5 to lower the air suspension.
OK good news. I now make the Links for the New X5 E70. And of course I still carry them for the E53, E30 525i, 528i, and 540i. E65 745i, 750i, 760i, and B7. E66 745i, 750i, 760i. They are fully adjustable from factory height to at least 2" drop. They don't throw any codes. There are a easy two bolt install that anyone can do. Here is a before and after pic.

I'm willing to ship anywhere but shipping will be more. I have 100% positive feedback on ebay (cya-zya) and a Verified member at Paypal. Please email me at [email protected] if you have any questions. I accept paypal payment at [email protected]. Thanks for looking Rob Some member feedback: Carrerax- "Also, thanks for the end links. They are awesome! Wuzin- "I've installed mine when I sent you PM saying that I've got them. No problem so far and happy with it." Cocoabrova- "Thanks again Rob, excellent product and decent shipping time....even to Canada!" |
I just bought some 22" Breyton Spirits and will have to lower it.
What else am I going to need to lower my X besides this? I've done some searching but no one seems to be clear. Do I have to get the dealer to adjust the rear height still or does this product eliminate the need for that. Also do I have to buy springs for all four corners or just the front? Thanks |

If you have all four wheel air ride suspension then you should take it to the dealer and have them lower the front and the back Via their computer. That is if you can find a dealer thats willing to do it. That was the main reason I came up with this part. I couldn't find anyone local:mad: If your unsure as to what suspension you have you can look behind the wheels to see if you have air bags or springs. If you have anymore questions let me know, Thanks for looking Rob  |
I do have the rear air suspension.
I'll take a set. Can you send me a PM with an address to send a money order/ bankdraft along with the total (USD) including shipping to Calgary, Alberta, Canada. BTW what size are your wheels and tires? eg 22x8 / 22x11 for the wheels 265/??/22 |
in coming!

Silver 5 - do you have any installation instructions and clearer pictures of the links installed?
|
first post above shows them installed.
As far as install very straight forward: In short, jack rear of X, remove wheel, remove 2- 10mm nuts, remove endlink, install new endlink(come set at a 1" drop) install 2 nuts, install wheels, repeat, lower X, take for a short drive, inspect for even ride height. Done |

Hey bro, any way to have the endlinks drop the rear more?
I'll be getting KW V3 coilovers down the road, and this will be a temporary setup. :) I'm guessing Spring would be the next time that's good for you to install the springs and endlinks, since it's so cold outside right? |
I have a garage, right now the weathers not to bad, but I'm sure that will change any day now. As far as lowering it more then a few inches. Its possible but your camber will go out of wack. The inside of the tire will wear prematurely. I don't know how long until you would see the effects but eventually it will occur.

I'd like to purchase a set of the endlinks for my 01' X5, sent you a PM, if you can send paypal invoice to my email address I will get payment on the way. Thanks

Hey bro, are you free anytime before April 10th to do an install? Maybe a friday? Are you gonna go to the Uconn Car Show on the 15th?
|
Pretty much any saturday morning is open. I also have good friday off (April 6th). I didn't plan on going to the Uconn show. I haven't been to a car show since I had my 350z.

Maybe we can do the install on the 6th then? Let me know if you're still free when the date comes closer. :)

Rob - I'm thinking your adjustable links might be the solution to dropping the rear on my '06 530xiT.
Here's picture of an '02 X5 rear air suspension (top diagram Part # 11) compared to the '06 530xiT rear air suspension (bottom diagram Part # 09). 2002 BMW X5 auto-leveling rear suspension http://www.realoem.com/bmw/diagrams/l/l/143.png 2006 BMW 530xiT rear suspension http://www.realoem.com/bmw/diagrams/l/d/197.pngI'm going to have to get underneath the car and take some measurements. It looks to me that your adjustable link might work as is. Do you have anymore left? The members on E60.net haven't figured out how to do the rear suspension drop yet. A couple of them have had independent mechanics drop the sensor positions, but they can't describe how it was done. There is no better website than xoutpost.com. |
Sounds very interesting... OK, If you can get under there and take a measurement center to center of each joint. I can make up a set that will fit. Also if you could snap a pic of the OEM endlink install so I can see what kind of clearance we have to play with. Once I have all that I can make them up in a day and get them out to you. I'll send it to you, try it, if it works keep it! Just spread the word for me. If not just send it back.. I'll keep an eye for the specs, Rob;)
|
Rob - I'll probably do it this weekend. Gotta dig through my garage and find where I buried my jack stands. Never really had much of a use for them with my X5 - never had to jack it up for anything including oil changes. I'll send you the measurements.
Regards, Mike |
Sounds good keep in touch...
|
Bump with more applications!!
|
Asawadude, that pic is not the suspenion it's actually the headlight leveler. Are you sure that you have the air ride in the rear. I couldn't find anything on realoem.

Silver 5,
Are there any more adjustable rear endlinks available right now? and do they come with everything needed to be installed? Thanks, Mustafa Ali |
I always keep them in stock. They come with everything needed to install including instructions. You just need some very basic hand tools and a jack. 20 minute install

Yeah, just make sure you don't have a spring in the rear. ;)

Pretty much playing the waiting game, I'm gonna try and ask if I can buy a pair off eBay like you suggested, and send back just the front springs for a refund. I'll keep you posted. :)
