Who was it that recently showed us a bolt on aluminum running board?
Please repost your pic's of the running boards the had "X5" etched into them. I cannot seem to find the previous thread that contained them.
Thanks in advance |

X5 running boards group buy
I contacted the importer, although they are primarily a Benz parts place and don't carry much in the way of BMW parts, and do not have this style in stock... they are checking into minimum order size and may bring in a shipment from Asia.
I told them about our group and suggested that we probably could get a number of them pre-sold with a group buy... any interest? The guy who bought this one said he paid $319+shipping, hopefully we can do better than that. |

I wonder if the seller bought these wholesale from this ebay vendor from Taiwan, looks very similar, even the shipping cost is the same.......
If so, we may be able to get a better deal, I have seen a few sold for $249.99. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB..._promot_widget |

Although it's the same concept of installing boards on top of the factory plastic ones, I don't think they're the same. The cut is different and there's no "X5" etching which some people liked and others didn't. Also, mine don't stick out as far so they don't rub the back of my leg when exiting the vehicle. If you look closely at their pic, their board consists of a thin layer wrapped around another piece. The one I got is one thick solid piece. But by all means, if you can save even more over the OEM version and still get something you're content with, go for it.
