M5 cluster...FITS X5!!, grey face,rings, M symbol,lighted rpm's

i bought this and it just arrived. It is an M5 cluster w/grey face dials, silver rings, lighted rpms, M// symbol. I have not tried it as i dont want to use it now as the km's are too small for me, It is from the us so it is mph. I need km/h as i'm in canada, w/ my 4.6l i need larger#'s so i dont speed.I thought i could livewith small kim's, but after seeing in person, i cant. I need to find a cdn cluster. I havent tested it yet so it is sold as is,exactly how i got it. I am not going to remove my cluster and get a tamper dot just to try iy out. It is MINT shape. pics upon request for serious buyers. I will try to sell here, then it will go on ebay when they have the cheap listings sale. Current one on ebay for staring bid of 400$us, and buy now of 500$us

THIS IS GREY DIALS W/RINGS and M// SYMBOL. perfect to update that ugly dash custer in yr 3.0, or 4.4......or if you have a 4.6 get the M symbol!!
price is 400$...420$us shipped/insured :)

ON ebay there is one with same part #and it says it fits

all e39 m5 1997-03
e53 x5-3.0,4.4,4.6l
528,525 1997-03
all e39-540i
e38

this info is from an auction i found w/same part #as on the cluster i have, his feedback was 100%..

all the research i did points to fitting x5's no problem...thats why i bought it..i've only had mine x5 about 2 mo. and dont know that much(nothing) as i'm a newbie to the x5...
i will post some pics and the #'s off it etc.... hard to get pics of the part # , but the sticker says
vdo 110.008.784
bmw 62.11-7 894 004
on the right lower back it has the numbers 88311242 in the plastic.

i can see through the glass and read that it has PRNDetc., s mode, m mode, 12345.

glass(plastic) is EXCELLENT condition, no cracks, no deep scratches or anything...better shape than my cabrio cluster in my car!

here are pics, you can even see on the box the deleivery date was the 20th, and it was sent to my friends house, i just got it today!

AS YOU CAN SEE THE KM'S ARE TINY AND LIVING IN THE CITY I WILL BUSTED IN ONE DAY, as it is too hard to see the numbers quickly. I already got a ticket within 24hrs of having my 4.6 x5..thing just dosent feel like its going that fast! but it is.....i need a cluster w/km's as the BIG numbers. THIS IS THE ONLY REASON I DECIDED TO SELL.

420$us shipped out same day insured...i need 2 sell 2 get $ to buy the a cdn version one.

How does one install this without violating odometer tampering laws? Will a BMW Service Center install it and preserve the correct odometer reading from the install vehicle?

You are not messing around with the odometer. The odometer just have a readout of how many miles are on the car. When you plug it in, the right mileage will show up, no worries about that.

So you just plug it in and it will work with the correct odometer reading of the vehicle you're installing it in?

I think he is saying that the kilo's are small and the mph are large. Since he lives were kilo's are the norm this will not be optimal. It would be like putting a euro speedo on your X5. It would work but why do it :dunno:

This is really going to make him mad

There is the same set up on ebay with a buy it now for $200.00
