Anyone interested in a BMW Assist module?
 

I removed my assist module from my '04 X5 and replaced it with the BlueTooth/voice module a few months back.
Anyone interested? What's a fair price? :dunno:

Jeez, good question. I really don't know what to ask for it. I suppose I could find out from the dealer. As far as the buttons go, this is just the module that goes in the back near where the spare tire is. And to be honest w/you, I'm not sure what years it's compatible with. It's from an April 2004 build. And as far as what it's worth, how about 50% of say, what you could get it from Crevier for?. I don't know how much they are separately as I believe it came w/the premium package. Do you have the SOS/wrench button in your overhead console? If you're truly interested I'll be happy to do a bit more digging for you... If Jeff's seeing this, I'm sure he could provide a bit more insight for us.

Sorry, didn't do a write up on the install. I actually bought it from the dealer and had them install it. Cost me about $800 total w/cradle. But that was before I became X5worldicized... In retrospect, I should have done it myself and saved a couple-a-$300. The write-ups that are already available should be more than enough to get you going - it's really a pretty simple mod - I'm still kickin' myself for not doing it myself... Just looked up the part number on RealOEM and here's what I found...

That's the part number that I got off the module itself. I had no idea it was so expensive. I'm also checking with a couple of dealers to see if they have better prices. I'll let you know what I find out.

In any case, I'm more than willing to give you a great deal. If this thing really is this much money, I'll be willing to give you even more than 50% off the lowest price I find.
