LightWerkz 06-30-2010 01:55 PM

Sounds good. Still up for grabs.

m5james 06-30-2010 02:39 PM

I've got the same impact wrench! Anyways, off topic, but what did you ever do with your stock taillights since you sold your X with the LED ones still installed?

Yii 06-30-2010 02:57 PM

I got mine for 50bux more! but i am enjoying mine =].

LightWerkz 06-30-2010 03:02 PM

Tails were sold a long time ago, when I first got the LED ones.

Just a note the facelift exhausts are different than the preface lift exhausts :)

R the preface lifted exhaust more round? I did notice that the mufflers are shaped much differently than my 3.0 as well as the 4.8 ones.

Brit6 06-30-2010 03:21 PM

Yup!

Here is a picture of the preface lift style, same if its 3.0 or 4.4

LightWerkz 06-30-2010 03:26 PM

These will fit on a 3.0 facelift/non facelift though right? Just want to be sure I have had some inquires.

Yii 06-30-2010 03:29 PM

Yea they should fit. Mine did. I Believe at V and S they told me the Pipe size was only off by very little so they added some couplings for me to make sure things will go smooth. And mine was welded on. Since yours is whole you just might be able to get away with attaching the piping directly on.

Brit6 06-30-2010 10:58 PM

Should fit, not 100% sure though. I am not sure why they changed the shape of them in the facelifted x5s.

I went on the safe side and purchased a 4.4i exhaust from a prefacelift for mine.

i can vouch for the condition of the exhaust. i was there when it was removed.

oh, and the seller is a great guy.

Yii 07-01-2010 12:35 AM

Man someone should really jump on these quick! 250 is such a good deal for broken in Mufflers. And on a 3.0 I lovem!

m5james 07-01-2010 12:43 AM

I'd have to hear it in person, but that is an awesome price for mufflers and piping for a simple bolt-on installation. When I did the Magnaflow 14816's on my 7, I paid $212 shipped for the mufflers and probably close to $100 more for installation.

LaguneE46 07-01-2010 08:48 AM

Besides the quad tips( which opens up the flow of exhaust), are the pipe diameter larger on 4.4 then 3.0?

LightWerkz 07-05-2010 10:27 AM

Up for sale still!

When i brought it to V and S for the Welding vince told me it was only slightly bigger but still could weld it on. so there is no problem

LightWerkz 07-12-2010 08:13 AM

Still for sale.

ArmyX5 07-12-2010 11:12 AM

I will be in the Passaic, NJ area late next month and migh be interested if still available. The only concern I have is if it will just be an easy swap from my 3.0 to this.:dunno:

Brit6 07-12-2010 11:55 AM

It is direct bolt on, takes less than 1/2 hour to install.

Did the same mod on my 01 3.0i to 4.4i exhaust, love the look, i even bought new tips ;)

wullaby 07-12-2010 12:58 PM

is the 4.4i from a sport vs non sport 4.4i exhuast the same, or its different?

Brit6 07-12-2010 02:35 PM

4.4i sport comes with 4 black chrome exhaust tips over the stainless steel regular exhaust, looks very unique :)

Still up for sale

LightWerkz 07-27-2010 08:50 AM

Im shocked no one has purchased this system!

m5james 07-27-2010 01:03 PM

It's a great price, I'd just have to hear it in person first. I was the same way when I did the exhaust on my 7...I installed it on a buddies car first, then I was in. Someone will scoop it up.

Brit6 07-27-2010 01:05 PM

hear it? Its the original stock exhaust which makes no noise at all barely haha :)

m5james 07-27-2010 01:17 PM

The stock exhaust doesn't sound bad, it just has this funny burble to it when under medium to heavy throttle. I've got a perfectly good x-pipe sitting in my garage, I just haven't decided if I want the increased noise in the X since it's taken the 7's place as my roadtrip vehicle.

tho656 07-27-2010 07:03 PM

looks great
