SOLD!

I am very sad to put her for sale, I love this car but need a sedan to commute to my new job!

I am selling my Silver on Black 2005 X5 4.8is, it has 69,500 miles, a Clean Carfax, and I've always garaged it (in San Diego) and had it profesionally detailed. The exterior has no dings or dents and the interior is in great condition. I also just spent $1K in new tires! In addition to the tires, it has new brakes, New front suspension: Control Arms and CV boots, new Air Suspension Module, battery, and Power Steering Hoses.

Like most 4.8is's, it is loaded with all the options:

Navigation, 20 inch wheels, comfort seats, adjustable suspension, front and rear heated seats, front and rear park distance control, panoramic sunroof, bluetooth.

In addition to these options, it has the following upgrades:

Brand New Tires (Toyo ST Proxes II)
BMW Tow Hitch (with a custom installation, see picture)
BSW Subwoofer with BSW front sound stage (woofers, mids, tweeters)
BMW Ipod adaptor
Auxiliary Input (custom install in the front tray see picture)
Tinted Windows
Rubber front and cargo mats

Thanks for looking!

If you're interested in parting out with anything (i.e. you end up trading it in to a dealer) I'd be interested in the wheels and stereo.

Do you know what is triggering the arrows in the info display in the dash board? Those come on to warn you when something needs service.

if there is an existing malfunction, which will be by 1. The arrows and a full lit message screen (no message) or 2. a message with arrows (when "Check button" is pressed)

To know if there is a malfuntion or not, a pic. of the message "Check Control OK" or a simple blank (unlit) = No problems. on the display will solve your question.

Hope it helps.

Edit... Whops... guess i should go rethink it XD (guess i was wrong)

LOL, wow bro you made that pretty confusing. Im pretty sure AZX was right. Those arrows only appear when there is a triggered fault. Mine currently has the arrows for Brake linings...

Thanks :) The arrows (little carrot arrows) do not come on as you toggle through the menu. When they stay on, it is to warn the driver of something on the car not working. It could range from a burned out light bulb to something more serious. When you initially start the car the message in the display will tell you what is wrong. Then after a little time has passed the message goes away and the arrows stay.

In my original question I was trying to find out what is causing the arrows to stay on? When you initially start the car the message will be in the information display.

My Washer Fluid was low, $3 fix...

TerraPhantm 04-12-2011 02:08 PM

If this is still available after the first week of May and I don't find anything worthwhile on the east coast, I'll definitely send you a PM. My schedule is too tight to even consider flying down before May

JavX5 05-08-2011 12:02 AM

Car is still available and it now has a brand new battery, new CV Boot and power steering hose...

AZX54.4 05-17-2011 06:45 PM

Would you be interested in parting out the BSW subwoofer?

JavX5 05-18-2011 01:39 AM

No, I'm not willing to do anything to it other than sell it as equipped or keep it!

Thanks

DUCATI5 06-09-2011 01:54 PM

JavX5 09-16-2011 12:06 AM

I updated the information with a reduced price and mileage. I was only halfway committed before, but I am now serious about selling it!

BTW- I am not willing to part off the car, so please don't ask.

I am only willing to sell it whole.

Thanks

Still available? I have an 01 M5, but am considering X5 for winter use here in Colorado. Any cracking of interior trim pieces? Seems common.

Also, do you have complete history on car regarding maintenance and repairs?

JavX5 10-17-2011 12:13 PM

Yes, it is still available and the interior trim has no cracks. I have been taking my car to an independent BMW shop since I bought it, so I don't have all of the records, but the car is available for a full check up to any serious buyer. The car is in great condition, so it should pass with flying colors.

You can PM me if you want to talk about all the repairs I have done, all have been preventive replacement of parts and regular maintenance.

JavX5 10-17-2011 12:17 PM

These are all the recent maintenance items and other relevant investments:

1. New CV Boots
2. New Power Steering hoses
3. Battery
4. Brakes (just done at the end of September
5. Full air suspension check and new control module
6. Registration paid through next June
7. new Tires (about 6 months ago)

JavX5 10-18-2011 02:28 PM

New Price: $23,900!

JavX5 10-23-2011 10:03 PM

One more maintenance item that the buyer won't have to do...

I just replaced the control arms to the front suspension, so it now handles like new!
