Unless someone has an engine for a reasonable price to offer me, I'm thinking of the UNTHINKABLE: :( Parting out my ride! Not sure what else to do at this point and if you want to know what happened you can read up on it here: http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...er-thread.html

But in short I'm pretty sure my block is cracked or some other major issue so, any interest in any of the OEM Parts?? Other than the block, most everything else seams to be in mostly great condition. :(

Are you parting the entire truck or just the motor?

This is just a feeler thread trying to feel out interest to help me decide if it makes any sense at all but unless I can find myself an engine at a reasonable price real soon;

OK, I'll bite... I'm considering a "Facelift" upgrade. How much for the entire front end cosmetics? (Hood, front fenders, bumper, headlights, front spoiler? ....Maybe even the roof skin!) PM me if you like!!!

May be interested but considering I'm brand new at this, I'm gonna have to do some research on what this stuff is worth. Please be patient because I'm very, very busy lately so it will take some time to price it all out for you.

This should make it easy for you; Go to realoem.com and enter your last 7 digits of your VIN in the appropriate box and you will be able to search specific parts for your vehicle. Click on the part in the diagram to get the retail cost... keep in mind that you will be selling used parts. A general guideline to consider is that used parts are basically worth about 25-30% of retail (depending on condition).

Appreciate the advise and will come up with some #'s for you soon. Just keep in mind I will need to see quite a bit of interest in parts to conclude I'm parting it out.

Black nappa sport seats (both)
non wood trim (titanium or graphite)

Both headlight housings
Heated steering wheel?
Rear cargo floor and side panels (non-sliding) if clean

I wish you were here, I would have ur engine rebuild for 1-1.5k for good!

The 4.8 kit would not fit your car. Well the rear bumper would, front wouldn't

That could work too. Put the rear and get a decorative skid plate in front like rich's. I want it either way then if your will to part with just the rear op.

Going to try to post pics and list options twords the end of the week but in general it's a 4.8is that's Loaded! i.e. Sport package, Lux. package, Tow package, climate package, ....... you name it, it's got it.

And if you can make my engine right for $1 - $1.5k, I'd be happy to make a crippled drive or even have it towed to GA.!! Let me know if your serious and can really do somthing here please. Never concluded what exactly it is that' going on in the engine but maybe you have a handle on it that would be helpful to the whole forum considering I've seen and heard very similar symptons from many other members in a very short time. :thumbup:

Yes, I am in Europe. If the worst come to worst and engine block is broken, they fix it here. (Don't ask me how) It runs, runs like it should run. even if cyl gets stuck they fix that too. but you don't have that problem yet because took care of it soon enought.
