Had a child and having to get rid of one of my X5s! This 2005 X5 is a Titanium Silver Metallic with black leather comfort seats...fully loaded with DINAN Cold Air Intake and Exhaust! Includes all standard options on a 2005 4.8is + lifetime Sirius satellite radio subscription, BMW hitch kit, hard-wired for Passport Radar detector, MP3 plug/connection installed, tinted windows, sliding load floor, navigation, rear door window sun blinds, dark wood trim, ski bag, heated rear seats, parking distance control, adaptive headlight control, premium sound system w/DSP. Have both sets of keys, all books and maintenance records. I bought this car in Phoenix (2nd owner) and it resided there until I bought it and brought it to Albuquerque, NM where it is currently located. No salted roads, etc. Great Condition! 81,000 miles. Interesting proposal, but I don't think I want to take the time to do that...looking to sell this quickly. I don't have the original parts, so I can't take these parts off and replace, then sell quickly.

I have original parts.
 

Quick might be an issue.

It would be a swap plus cash on top from me.

I am just curious what your opinion on the dinan exhaust/CAI are. Does the CAI create much noticeable air noise? Thanks

Sorry for the slow response...been off line for awhile on a business trip. I'm not sure what the 4.8is sounded like before since I bought the car with the Dinan equipment installed. I don't think that CAI changes the sound much. The exhaust definitely does. I have a 4.4i as well and it definitely is a quieter vehicle.

I am sure the Dinan exhaust is much louder than the sport exhaust on our 4.4's. I was wondering if the CAI had a noticeable wind swooshing noisy that you get from some CAI's. GLWS

I don't notice any swooshing noise coming from the CAI...maybe it is being drowned out by the exhaust.

Would love to get the CAI! it's not very hard to disassemble airboxes.....

thanks, but I've had multiple offers to part out the CAI and Exhaust but I don't want to decrease the appeal of this X5...my objective is to sell it.

I think you would get more appeal having a bone stock car..... Also, mods have no resale value when on the car....IMO

Here is a killer deal...I need to get this car out of my garage since we are out of room with our new kid! Dropping the price down to $22,500. Local car dealer will give me $21,000 and probably sell it for $25,000....I'll try this for a couple of weeks and if no one wants it I will probably hand it over to the used car dealer...

Unfortunately stealer will buy it from you for around $16K. And non franchise dealer will get it for $20k .... And carmax $19K

Hmmm...I did have it evaluated by the used car manager at the local stealer and he said he would give me between $19-20K for it based on its condition. Carmax quoted me $20,900 about 2 months ago...I would have to have the re-appraise it since their appraisals only last for 7 days. They did have someone looking for that car, so that might have helped. Two local high end used car dealers offered me $19K and $20.5k. In any case it looks like I may have it sold.

BMW San diego gave me $15K for it and considering I was getting new 5 series from them. Original
Stealer where I bought my car from BMw Encinitas keep sending me letters giving me $20K hoping I would get new lease car. So if I would be in your shoes and u need to sell it, you have better options than I do, I would sell it with better deal asap. Depreciation for our car is terrible.
