X5 4.6is/4.8is Brakes
X5 4.6is/4.8is Brakes
The previous owner of my truck threw these in with the sale. Therefor I am not at liberty to estimate mileage or condition of these parts. The calipers would have had about 100k on them. Rotor and pad mileage unknown. From my estimation, the rotors and pads appear to have more than half of their life left. These rotors and calipers are unique to the 4.6is/4.8is and are a huge 2-piston design in front, one piston in rear. Rotors in front are over 14 inches in diameter and they are also fully vented in the center of the rotor. Rears are almost 13 inches and also vented. These will bolt onto E53 X5s but would also be a cool and rare brake upgrade for another model. It's difficult to price these as I don't see many for sale. I figure most of the value is in the calipers? Front Rotors: 356mm (14 inches) Back Rotors: 324mm (12.7 inches) Here are the part numbers and prices from realoem...... Front Left Caliper 34116757053 $703.71 Front Right Caliper 34116757054 $703.71 Rear Left Caliper 34216757055 $350.83 Rear right caliper34216757056 $350.83 Front brake rotor 34116756847 $204.36 Rear brake rotor 34216756849 $115.46 My prices..... Front calipers $350 Rear calipers $150 Rotors $200 Pads free with any purchase Everything for $600 (4x rotors, pads, and calipers) If you have seen them go cheaper then I'm all ears. You pay shipping, pickup in Minneapolis. http://just.razzi.me/photos/919779/19b8856.jpg http://just.razzi.me/photos/919777/4b8f528.jpg http://just.razzi.me/photos/919774/19b8856.jpg Or if someone wants to make an offer on the Brembo BBK.. 380mm front, 345mm rear. http://just.razzi.me/photos/919773/19b8856.jpg |
so these will not fit on a 4.4??
|
That is exactly the point. They are a direct bolt on part for you. Excellent upgrade.
|
once these are installed, your wheels' option are limited to 18" and up
|
If i didn't buy brand new snow tires for 17" wheels, I'd so jump on these.. dang
GLWS! |
Is there any market for the stompers... 380/345mm Brembo kit?
E53 BMW Brembo Brake Kits - Turner Motorsport The retail on them is so high, they must not sell very many of them. Spending $8k on brakes for a truck is probably not realistic to anyone who would be driving an E53. They are mint front and rear, calipers are gloss black, the rotors are just starting a develop a "lip" from wear. Pads would need to be replaced with the next rotor change. I've done a few panic stops from 120-60 MPH... These brakes will put your head into the windshield. I'm not kidding when I say these are the most impressive brakes I have ever experienced. With that said, my truck is daily driven so I don't get to use them often. I would like to put the $ into another BMW. $3k for the set F/R Here is a bad pic of them. Will get more pics for interested parties. http://just.razzi.me/photos/783770/6e57632.jpg |
god damn I never got hot for brakes before but those Brembos are delicious.
you should just put the stock brakes back on, get new rotors/pads and sell the brembos to have house money! |
That's what I'm thinking. If someone wants the Brembos then I'll put the stock brakes on. If someone wants the stock brakes then I'll keep the Brembos.
Here is another pic of the front setup... http://just.razzi.me/photos/718587/4b8f528.jpg |
How many miles on the brembo kit?
