I can't remember but bought and installed them at the BMW dealer A later model BMW TCU (upgrade) for better bluetooth connection $500. bought and installed at BMW dealer About the X5: I bought it under CPO warranty covered for 3 years! So it had always been serviced and maintained at the BMW dealer! When I bought it I bought a BMW free maintenance package with it, so all maintenance been done at the dealer, so all parts on it are OEM BMW parts! from brake pads to rotors to battery to engine oil/ all fluids changes, Filters ext... its not due to any maintenance anytime soon. A lot of new parts been replaced on it although it didn't need to get them replaced but my cousin works at the dealer and he replaced a lot of parts for me under the warranty. One of the last recent things been replaced on it at close to 100,000 Miles was the water pump, Although my old one was good! All the service history are available on the X5 key, if you require I can always go to the dealer and get them print it out. My baby x5 is well taking care of! never abused or pushed it was only a cruiser! it looks and drives like a brand new X5. Not a single fault with it! All the seats except for the drivers seat are almost in brand new condition because I'm a single guy with no kids and don't carry passengers with me! I've been told by my local dealer that you can do another 100,000 miles on this car with no problems because it was well maintained!! Whoever is going to own this one of a kind X5 he is a lucky person because I babied this vehicle!!! I'm even afraid to slam my car door when I get inside it! that's how careful I am with this baby!! I just had it proffesionally detailed PLUS an auto express care treatment on the paint and the interior been applied that cost me $300! that treatment should last on the car for a year. it's a protection for the paint and the interior. The shine will stay on it for about a year. It's not wax or some quotting! it's a special chemical treatment that blends in the car's paint and interior to protect the whole car from UV rays and bird poop or anything could do damage to the paint or interior. some dealerships charge $500-$1000 for that treatment and it's a four hours process, all done by hand. Now my X5 been covered it and kept it in the garage for the next owner. I wont be driving it anymore. Condition: It's in great condition inside and out!! You would be amazed!! Tires: I have Bridgestone Duller runflats on rear with about 60-70 thread left and Michelin Diamries on the Front with about the same thread as the rears. Not sure what else to list? I can always provide you with my phone number to answer all of your questions. You are going to love owning this X5!!! you will get compliments on it where ever you go!!! Even at My my local dealer they keep telling (it's the best looking X5 they had ever seeing) Supermarkets... Shopping malls... anywhere I go random people keep telling NICE RIDE!!! or other comments like that!! Quick list of some of the Specs on it: Xenon Adaptive headlights Automatic headlights Rain sensor Remote controled windows. You can open all of your windows and sunroof remotley from the key fob (it's nice feature on hot days). You can close em all by one turn of the key. this feature came standard on the car. Climat control, with a fan timer to come on anytime you want when you are away from the car for so many hours on a hot day, it realises the hot air from the interior. Nice feature!! A security code: this is a great Anti Theft feature! the vehicle wont start even with it's key until you enter the 4 digit code that you have pr-set prior when you parked the car last. So you dont have to worry about the wife or kids borrowing your car while you are taking a nap lol. This a BMW factory feature that it comes only on certain models. never seen an X5 with this great feature before not sure why mine has it Of course all the other goodies that comes on any X5 like traction control stability control ext... Please take care of it as much as I did!!! I Will include some older pictures when it was all silver so you would see how it looks without the matt black paint in case you wanna paint it back and don't like that sporty look. My X5 Books in for $18600 stock. I'm selling it for $18,500 FIRM with all the $17,000 I spent on upgrades. |
Not a fan of the wide body kit usually, on Silver I think it actually works on your car because your shadowline window trims offset it, and you have a quad remus exhaust which makes the rear look nice. The matte black on the hood/rear though, I'm sorry, is absolutely hideous and does not flow at all.
Is that an Audi "supercharged" badge on the rear tailgate?? |
I hope you Plasti-Dip the matte black area instead of paint. And saying it's "THE BEST LOOKING X5 IN THE COUNTRY!!!" is too subjective.
GLWS. |
Hi Ricky. I respect your opinion about the matte black. I think it looks nice either way, all silver or with this matte Finnish. I just wanted to have a special look to it. With that look people notice it from a distance because of its uniqueness! I could have gone matte gray would look great too. I just wanted to give it more aggressive look with the black

Wow it sounds like you are a car guy! Yes Ricky that is an Audi supercharged badge with real carbon fiber in it. I put it on just to add a little tiny touch to it

GLWS but :banghead: on supercharged badge (did I miss something here? Is there a supercharger we weren't told about?) |
it is a nice looking X5, but like with any custom modifications, they strike the right string with the modifier and might not be appealing to a potential buyer - I walked into many BMWs with aftermarket sound systems that the seller was thrilled about, just to walk away from that car...
a stock car is appealing to the maximum number of people, once you modify it, the pool of potential buyers is reducing to the point that you might have a hard time finding somebody to buy... i don't think it is your case, your car has the appeal and will sell - all depends on the price point... like anything else on the free market - when the buyer pool is smaller, it takes a bit longer to move the merchandise... as far as supercharged badge - you did mention that the engine was not molested to keep the warranty... so, an AUDI badge on the competing BMW is rather an insult, either to audi (my mom drives audi A6, so i am ok with the brand) or to a BMW... i would keep it on the car but would be prepared to remove it... listing the car on the xoutpost might be limiting your buyer pool even further - you should list it on craigslist, autotrader, maybe even ebay and whatnot... listing on the ebay with reserved price will give you an idea of how much the market can bear price-wise... to give you a real-world price... good luck with the sale!!! |
No supercharger because that would have voided my CPO warranty! But I'm all about the look and getting people's attention! When people see this badge it gets my truck a lot more attention than it already has
|
Hi terminator. Thank you for your honest opinion and advice I respect that! I agree with you with some things. But keep in mind that all the mods on my X are factory upgrades! Not some cheap aftermarket fiber glass Chinese stuff so I believe if anything that would add more value to it. But of course not to everybody! To the right buyer. I'm sure a lot of people if they can afford to spend what I spent they wouldn't mind having that look to their X5's. maybe not everything but at least with the aero kit and the bars I added. I thought Xoutpost would be a great place to list my car! Cause you have a lot of X5 anthusiest! Well I'm not in a hurry to sell it because I do have another car and my X its parked up. I will try autotrader too. Thanks again for the advice!
|
That's a lot of information. Did I miss how many miles are on it?
|
Yeah I know, I had a lot of free time on my hands that day lol. I did not mention how many miles on it with everything that I wrote!? It has 100,000 clean cruising miles

Hey GLWS. It is a nice looking X but I do concur with what the members on here have said. While to you the X looks balls to the wall awesome, some will frown. Especially that Supercharged Audi Badge. People get flamed for throwing M badges all over their cars, forget about throwing a competitors out there. But again, your car, your style, no body else's opinion should matter... until you sell the car. You can do a search on here with people who have done extensive modification trying to sell their cars... 100% of the time they end up putting the car back to stock and selling the extra equipment separately. Even people with Tasteful mods have a hard time selling it.
I've found people who buy extensively modded cars are usually of younger age (17-25) and normally are Civics, Supras, Integras, and Z32's. People rarely buy super modded BMW, Audi, Mercs because well... Most of the time it is out of their price range. The rare times I do see a modded BMW, Audi or Merc, its either extreme or tasteful. For example... a 330i with a Roller Skate Wing on the deck lid, black rims and trash can exhaust, oh and a sticker on the rear glass that says "Illest" on it. Then you have the guy that has a 330i, tinted, sleeper, and looks stock. 9 times out of 10, the guy with flash gets more looks, but 1 out of 10 will actually be interested in buying the car. So; again... this is my opinion and you can tell me to shove it if you want. But bottom line we are all trying to help you sell this thing here. I would start out with taking that audi badge off. Then seeing how much it would cost to get the hood sprayed back to Titanium Silver and take the wing off the back. Also, I wouldn't say the X has "Factory upgrades" Did the parts come from BMW, yeah, but when your whip was built... It didn't roll off the line that way. Just my opinion. Like you said you have no rush to sell your car. There has got to be at least one person on this planet looking for what you have. So you can leave everything the way it is and advert. the crap out of it or after a while if you get no hits... keep it. BTW... Curious where you got the stock price of $18,600 from? Market Value for a 06 3.0 with sport with 100k on the clock is $15k at best. Just want to see where the justification came from that stock is worth $18.6 and you are looking to get $20K. |

Hi GTR. I respect everybody's opinion. Again this was my baby toy project and this is how I liked to car to look for me. I really did everything for myself not to please people to their likes. It's not the first time I modify a car and spend crazy money on it. Again I wanted my X to look like that and I'm happy with it. Whoever decides to buy it they can do or change whatever they want because I'm keeping it that way. So if I supercharge it now that makes it ok to keep the badge? I don't see why people are picking on this little tiny badge! Where it can be removed in less than a minute! And to answer your question about how I came up with $18600... I'm in the car business and I know how to book in cars which most people they think they know but actually DON'T. I can tell you how to book it in right then you will see that I'm right! I had a store car manager arguing with me with the same thing that it dose not book in retail for that price... I actually sat on his desk and used his computer and I showed him that it does!! Try it yourself and make sure that you add all the features that the car has such as premium/sport package running boards oversized rims and so on... Not including my Aero kit and other mods you will come up with exactly $18600.
I just booked it in now just to show that I'm not making this up so in case anybody has any doubts about what I said! It actually books in for $18,800 |
Kelly blue book value for my X5

This is just to show anybody that has any doubts about how much my car books in. I've been getting some people messaging me telling me it does not book in for that much. I'm in the car business and I know how to book in cars the right way. If you book it in right by adding all the factory features and packages you will come up with the same number. Thanks
|
Sam, that's the retail value buying from a dealer, not from a private seller. You're in car business, unless you can put it under the business as a used car dealer to sell your X, the private party value is more accurate.
Regarding the "Supercharger" badge, it equals to "false" advertisement, since your X isn't supercharged. It might make a potential buyer thinking "what else could he lie about the SAV?" or "He might had it supercharged before and race the sh*t out of it" Anyhow, it's your X, keep/put whatever you want on it. Regardless, GLWS. |
Tmv. I understand what you are saying and that's what I said RETAIL. I actually know a lot of dealers and I could sell my car as a consignment car there and get $18,800 which I'm sure I can get 20K for it if I wanted to but I refuse have my car sit there for weeks under the sun and... Have people test driving it whenever they want to! I'm not trying to go by the book or anything. I was just trying to make a point about my car's value. As for my X been supercharged and raced the hell out of it... That wouldn't make any sense for anybody that I supercharged it then I took the supercharger out, knowing that you have to modify a lot of things and replace parts to super charge a car. If I actually supercharged before I would l love to keep it that way and people would go crazy for that!! Besides... How could I super charge it and my CPO warranty expired not long ago? Also, any mods been done to the engine... At the right dealer they can find out easy if anything been done to the engine. Whoever would like to buy my X, they can take it to any dealer and have it fully inspected and if there is anything wrong with my car or anything been done to it that is not stock... I will pay for the full inspection!!
|
Ok well regardless, GLWS... I mean you obviously know what you are doing... You say you're in the car biz... cool... The number you got... Cool... You want to leave it the way it is... that is cool too. But from an enthusiast standpoint... Good luck with the sale. I hope a person looking for that particular car comes forward soon.
|
Ok thanks. Again I respect your opinion GTR and I'm sure the right buyer will come along. It may not be everybody's car but someone out there will like and appreciate what I did to my car and buy it. I might consider reasonable offers if someone is seriouse about it

Hey jspdr. Thanks for that message. This is the spirit that I like! And I agree with you but I guess some people they still like to force their comments about something I never asked anybody to give me an advice on. This is my car and I own it and paid for it and its my business what I do with it right!? As for the price... Although I think it's priced right... Although I think it's even worth more than I'm asking for simply because of the money I spent on it and the way I took care of it... If it doesn't sell, maybe I'll consider take a little less for you. Thanks again for your comment!

i think i mentioned that your truck looks good... while it is your truck, whatever you are doing to it, is always good for you and by you... once you offer it for sale, you are exposing your creation to the judgement and public opinion... a lot of folks, me including, got hang up on the Audi emblem... while it was your truck, who cares, i'd forever keep my peace about that emblem... but when you offered it for sale, it opened up the gates to talk about the pros and cons - as a matter of fact, it is a good study of the public opinion on the item... taken from people who know the product... if you are aiming to sell the truck on the outpost only, you should keep notes of what folks say... if you are selling your truck on general venues, you can sell anything to a non-expert... as far as price goes - the fair price is not what you or i think, but what cash you are willing to take in for the truck and what cash i am willing to part for the same truck... if i am looking for the things that you already have in your truck, i will pay you $20 K without any questions, and your truck is worth $20 K, as sold... chances of that are slim, so your wait is greater, as finding a person with the exactly same taste as you - is not that easy... if you are desperate to sell the truck, and can't find anybody to take it, you will lower the price to point where your potential pool of buyers will increase, and you will sell it faster, say for $10K... so, the the truck is worth only $10K... this is free market... :) put an ad onto ebay, start a bid at $1, put your reserve of whatever you really are willing to part with car, and watch... the final bid is about 85-90% of what market will bear... with reserve, you don't have to sell |
Just a reminder.
