4.6 motor in good shape. WTB or WTT
 

I'd like to buy a 2003 M62B46 that is in good shape. I'll be refreshing it but starting with a clean engine helps.

If you have compression results or a leak down test results, even better.

Lower miles are a plus but not a deal breaker under 150k

I'll be refreshing my currently running daily driver 4.4
M62TU44 and would be willing to trade that if it's an option.

Look at bavarian auto recycling. They have a few 4.6is' for parts cars.

I have a 2002 BMW X5 4.6is motor for sale if anyone is still looking. Runs great super quiet.

Well, ebay was where I saw the first one and lost it. Alas, it also is where I found the one I bought.

It cost $4k and shipping was about $400. It came out of a truck with 97k miles and was clean on the inside.
