Looking for OEM Alpine unit is good working order with cartridge
Thanks! |
Have you considered going with an iPod interface instead? Such much better than a CD changer, in my opinion.

$25 plus shipping sound good

I have one that i took out of my wife's 323i when we traded it in. I have not used it in over 3 years, but for $25 plus shipping (my price to you via paypal cash balance ie non credit card), I dont think you are taking much of a chance. If it has any problems they are relatively inexpensive to repair mostly get dusty and need to have compressed air to blow out the dust.. So you can pay $200+ or take a chance on mine, My reputation around here is pretty good, but like I said it has not moved in over 3 years and I cannot swear to its functionality. If your interested, let me know. You even get TWO cartidges. Such a deal !!! No returns, no complains. For $25, it'll even make an intersting paperweight (haha) And I dont rip you off in the shipping. If it's less. I send it back to you Other feed back is welcome..and if there is any representation I made this is incorrect, feel free to correct me,. I know it did NOT play MP3s Cheers Let me know if you need photos or anything else. Ed in Metuchen, NJ |
Can you post some pics of your ALPINE CD changer ( front and back portion please ). Does it have the same wiring and plugs as an OEM 6 disc Cd changer ? I hope it is the plug and play type ?
|
Well, it's 11 degrees outside, but for a fanatic, why not run out and take a couple of pictures,,so here you are... Hope they are clear enough, but if not let me know..Note I have 2 cartridges, I just didnt have them installed since they still have my son's "hip hop" in them..(which I think make excellent drink coasters)
Why do you insist on Alpine, same plug and play connectors 6 pin and 3 pin as BMW OEM (which is what this is, NOT an alpine)..? It was replaced under warranty which is why it has a 2002 date out of a 2000 323i car. And for the record, and not ripping anyone off (I think I have a pretty good rep here), I havent used it in YEARS so you bought it, you own it. But for $25 unless it's melted in a ups truck on the way to you, it probably can be fixed cheaper than new. Let me know what you would like to do.
