Looking for a replacement MID as my pixels are starting to die.

Looking for part numbers: 65826909132 or 65806914608.

BMWNA had a replacement program for this known issue. Mine ('01 4.4) was replaced by BMW. They covered parts, I paid for labor. Search here as it has been discussed. There is also a company that repairs this for significantly less than replacement in case that might be an option.

I know that they will do the instrument cluster, as I had mine done as well, but they will not cover the MID. I have researched a couple of companies that do repairs, but if someone has one that they could part with it might be more cost effective.

Good luck finding one, it toke me almost a year to find mine from a very nice member on here. The problem with most of them is the same as yours, missing all the pixels. I ordered from 2 different junk yards with the same problem.

I am about to retrofit Nav but it may take may a week or two more before I get done. Eventually I would sell the MID.

I installed an aftermarket navi system as well, so I relocated mine to the glovebox. I considered selling mine as well, but I'd eventually need another when I sell the X. The problem w/ finding used ones is that eventually you're putting off the inevitable of the pixels failing again w/ a used unit. I've never used one of the repair places, but if you have the funds and plan on keeping the X for a while, I'd just have it repaired by one of the places that has the longest warranty.
