FEELER: 2006 X5 4.8iS
This is not your typical X5 in regard to maintenance and up keep. I do not screw around with maintenance and try to get my cars as close to original condition as possible. I purchased the car with 59k back in November from a guy in NC that was a dealer reselling it for someone else. I show as the third owner but the second one owned the car for a very brief period. I flew to North Carolina to get this car to avoid having one that is all corroded underneath from salt. With the exception of this winter (where I pressure washed the undercarriage every week) the car never saw snow. The undercarriage is literally flawless with every bolt and nut looking brand new. With the Dynavin the car has every option available stateside (that I knew of) plus whatever the dynavin offers (reverse camera, tv, dvd in motion, live traffic, etc). Maintenance and repairs since purchase: - Front and rear Continental DWS (at purchase so 9k miles ago) - Every single fluid on the car was flushed with original fluid (diffs, transfercase, and brakes) - Ceramic front and rear pads installed - Transmission Service performed along with ZF Mecatronic sleeve, OE seal, ZF pan, and ZF fluid. - Spark Plugs, fuel filter, cabin filter, and air filter all replaced with OE plug and filters - Original Valve Cover Gaskets from BMW - CCV breather hose with valve, and CCV valve on driverside VC - Belts - Genuine MAF - Both from Axle’s with GKN/OE units - Original Engine Mounts - ALL power steering hoses (every single one) and reservoir - Power Steering Rack - Brand new Genuine Transfer case motor (complete – not just the gear) - All four front control arms, sway bar links, and tie rod assemblies with Lemforder units - New Rear Lower ball joints - Lubromoly oil service twice (every 4500k) and coming up on its third which I will take care of - New Bosch Wipers front and rear - Added NEW OE Rear Bumper flares (missing when purchased) - Replaced Door Lock covers on door panels - BMW steering wheel base cover (not installed yet) - Full alignment and roadforce balance of wheels ***I’m forgetting little miscellaneous things but this covers the majority of larger repairs*** Modifications: - Custom stainless X-pipe - ACS style Carbon Fiber spoiler - Coded for windows up with remote - Dynavin N6 with reverse camera and hands free - 30MM rear spacers / 20MM Front spacers - BC adjustable coilovers (good stock suspension can be included if someone wants to convert it back) - 5k LED angel eyes - 6k HID Fog Lights - Smoked Sidemarkers - Debadged rear - Roof Rail delete (roof rails and installation hardware included) - AFE Stage 2 intake - OE cargo Net - OE Sport Seats - BMW/weathertech Mats - Ebay springs to raise hatch Exterior Condition: The car is near perfect. There is no rust anywhere on the car or the undercarriage. There are no dings or dents in any panels. There is one scratch on the hood from not being careful with the snow brush and a few rock chips. Overall the car cleans up to near showroom floor condition (I will have evidence of that Monday when my detailer gets done going through it). Interior Condition: The fronts seats are being refinished Monday but even now are in great shape with no scratches or tears (I just want them perfect) and the rear seats look like no one ever sat in them. The door panels are in great shape (front have some scratches also being repaired Monday) and the carpet is flawless (no tears or wear). The interior doesn’t creak and crack and it cleans up to a 9 out of 10. Engine and drivetrain: The car is perfect. Any issue that arose or looked like it may arise got addressed immediately. All adaptations or software updated have been done and are up to date. It doesn’t shake, vibrate, idle funny, or hesistate. It pulls like a freight train in every single gear and doesn’t burn a DROP of oil (I change my oil every 4500 and never have to top off) which is rare with the N62s. This car has low mileage compared to others available and maintenance that you likely can’t get with any other 4.8’s available Price: $25k I am not interested in hearing why it’s not worth that or shown comparisons. I know it’s priced higher than any other on the market (my last one was too and the owner still keeps in touch telling me how great the car has been). This is likely the most headache free and reliable 4.8iS you can find on the market. It’s an enthusiast car that I will gladly keep if the car I want sells or if I can’t get what I want. If someone really wants this car with a lot of life left this is it. I do have a lean on the car - details can be worked out with buyer. I can also set up an extended warranty for 50k or two years at additional cost to the buyer for around $2800 that covers every single component of these cars including transmission and engine. Again Olek? I feel like I'm having Deja Vu! I can't imagine which vehicle this time has caught your eye
![]() This is a flawless X guys, I'd have no issues recommending the seller or the vehicle based on how his LeMans was maintained...

I'm the fortunate buyer of his last 4.8is. I wish I could say I have the time or ability to keep it in as good of shape as Olek did, although I try as much as possible. I have no doubt that this 4.8is is in as good or better condition than portrayed in his listing.
A little history on my experience with Olek... I essentially bought the car sight unseen from Seattle. He agreed to do a PPI before I fully committed to the purchase. Of course, there were no issues or surprises discovered. He was even kind enough to have it detailed a couple of days before my arrival. I bought one-way tickets for my father and myself and flew to Boston one morning. Olek and his girlfriend picked us up from the airport, took us to lunch, gave us a little tour of Boston and then we took care of the paperwork. I then proceeded to drive the car back to Seattle over the next 4 or 5 days hitting a few tourist spots along the way. He was completely transparent and as accommodating as possible during the whole transaction, promptly answering emails, texts and phone calls during the week or so leading up to the actual pick up of the car. He sent me several photos of the car after it was detailed, making the last 2 days before the flight especially difficult for me as the excitement was killing me. With the sale, several of the original parts that were upgraded or replaced were provided as well. (He even paid for the shipping of the roof rails that he removed to save space inside during the road trip!) I was also given a huge folder of receipts dating back to it's first service from the original owner. I have also contacted him several times since the sale asking questions. He has always promptly responded to the best of his knowledge and ability. For what it's worth a friend of mine is currently looking for an SUV and I referred her to this listing, unfortunately it appears she doesn't have the time to pickup and drive the car back or desire to pay for shipping. I would not have referred this to her if I wouldn't be willing to buy the car myself. If this were LeMans or Imola, I would seriously consider trading up to this and making another road trip. I wish you the best of luck in selling this wonderful vehicle. Hopefully you can find someone who appreciates this car as much as it deserves to be. |

Beautiful ride. GLWS. If I had stumbled on this in my search, it would have been a consideration.

Thanks LVP. If it doesn't sell on ebay this week I'm going to stop pursuing the other car I found and rock out with this for the summer. It really is a great/fun car.
