FOR SALE 2006 4.8is Black w/ Cream Beige 87k miles
As the title shows, I have a 2006 4.8is for sale $8,500. I realize the age, but I think there are still quite a few people out there that love these vehicles and would want a low mileage example with a lot of maintenance. The exterior color is black with the cream beige interior color option. The front seats are sport seats. NEW MILEAGE 103,457
If you're on this forum and looking, you obviously know about the 4.8is so I'll spare the cars.com or autotrader breakdown. I have owned this car for almost 3 years and I am the 2nd owner. The original owners split their time between Louisville, KY and Florida. The primary driver was a woman in her 60s and the car had only 62k miles when I purchased it. I have put roughly 25k miles on the X5 in the last 3+ years. It had not been driven in snow until January of 2017. I had a TDI Sportwagen that was my daily driver that was returned to VW because of the scandal and as such I did not replace it and started using the X5 as my daily. I have put a ton of maintenance $$ into the car in the last year. - New front brake pads and rotors 1/17 - New tires all around 5/17 - New fuel pump 6/17 - New windshield washer pump and grommet 6/17 - New right rear taillight 6/17 - New lower left front control arm 8/17 - Transmission software update 8/17 - Oil change 8/17 - New right front Arnott air strut (all new, not just the bag) 8/17 - New serpentine belt 11/17 - Windshield wipers 11/17 - New water pump 2/18 - Oil change 2/18 - Oil change 8/18 - Drivers' door lock 9/18 - Drivers' side tie rod 9/18 - New battery 11/18 The good: The X is very clean, but with typical signs of wear from a 12 year old vehicle. The paint is in great condition, interior shows very little signs of wear aside from the outside bolster on the drivers' side. Everything works as it should aside from the controls for the ride height adjustment The bad: There is some pixelation on the navigation screen, which is common. When I purchased the car, the rims did have some curb rash and still do. I was rear ended in front of my house. The X was parked on the street and someone bumped me, knocking one of the rear parking sensors out and scuffing the tailgate and rear bumper a bit. This was all repaired 1/24/18. The damage was very minor, but I did make an insurance claim $1,200 in damages for them to clean up and replace the parking sensor. - Recently the self-level suspension inactive warning has come on. The self-level suspension system is working, but the controls to raise and lower the car do not. It is a fault within the module itself and is around $700 to have replaced. I do not use this feature of the X5 so it is not something I plan to get fixed. I dropped the price $1,000 to accommodate any would-be buyers that want this repaired. The X5 I believe has all options aside from the tow package. Bring all offers, unfortunately it is time to move on. Last edited by Severar1; 01-24-2019 at 03:01 PM.
