2004 Navigation Monitor

I'm selling this 16:9 monitor screen, I bought it off a guy who had it on a 04 model BMW X5, works perfectly in new condition..all pixels properly working. The retrofit is too far out of my budget therefore I've decided to sell this. There is one small tiny nick on the top right part of the corner, I posted a picture but it's not clear. If your in socal I will glady accept local pickups...shipping will be UPS or Fedex only and I'd def. recommend insurance

I'm looking to get $700 for the monitor + shipping, if no takers will be posting this on ebay

I had a question;
Is there anyway I can just install this inplace of my MID?
And not install the nav parts? I'm just using it as the onboard computer with screen. If so I would take it off you.
Is there also a way I can play DVDs and stuff without doing the nav retrofit?

Benathon that is a fascinating question. Anyone into CarPC's etc have an idea about using OEM screen with its required harnesses, but to use without the whole Nav?
I'd love to know if it's possible to have OEM look with custom or alternative software/ interface/ accessories. OK, before I get all into it, I wonder if it's possible first.... Backing hand up from wallet now LOL. This'll sell fast, bro. Thanks for posting it here first!

im not sure about the carpc stuff but you will not be able to play dvds without the nav retrofit...EAS offers the dvd video playback

I have a 2001 w/navi. What other additional parts would I have to purchase in order to operate appropriately??

Unless it also comes with it, you'll need the plastic trim frame that goes around the outside. It's a $30 part. See http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/all-...html#post81379 for my retrofit guide.

Note that BMW does make some metal brackets to aid in a 16:9 screen retrofit so that you don't need to use zip ties. But my method works just as well.
