Yes, you can. Look at the X5world home page for the aluminum ring installation guide. See article 17 under Interiors.

Obiparis - From whom did you originally buy those rings? I like the matte finish on your rings. My rings are too shiny.

ya, I agree that some of the rings are like chrome finish which is too shiny for me as well. I bought the rings from a forum member here earlier when I picked up the other stuff from him. you may want to try ebay...but I think most of them are chrome finish.

I screwed up when I installed mine. I was going to rub them out with steel wool but prior to doing this, I decided to mount one of the big rings to check for fit. Mistake! I couldn't get it off once it was on. And I could't rub out the ring without rubbing the plastic gauge cover. I might have to disassemble it one day. It's bothering me that I didn't do the way I wanted it.

do they void the warrenty? I got one of the first few 2006's off the lot and mine didn't come with them and I have sport pkg which really sucks
