If you have the following options, you will require the Trunk Interface kit, other vehicles can choose between the Radio Interface or Trunk interface – each offers the same features:

Gang - I highly recommend this setup, and this group buy price is a great deal. I've got this now working in my X5 and the unit rocks!!

My only suggestion for future software releases would be to have the unit display the song/artist information for about 10 seconds and then shut off until the iPod switches to the next song rather then continuously displaying the information (I find it can be a bit distracting at times). The display in the Nav screen is cool, but I love having it display in the dash MID. Nice job, Dension

Is it possible to switch in and out of cars whenever I'd like to? For example, in and out of my X5 and Mini Cooper?

The iPod or the Ice Link?

Actually the answer to both is yes, but it would be much easier to have an Ice Link kit installed in both and then just move the iPod from vehicle to vehicle.

If you want to move the Ice Link from vehicle to vehicle then you'd be plugging and unplugging the connection to the CD Changer wiring harness every time, and you'd have to forego running the wires in a hidden manner. But I guess it could be done.

Agreed, the ice>Link was not really intended to be transportable, but we have a kit for your Cooper as well!
