Feeler: 01 4.4

This is just a feeler because I don't know if I should keep my beloved X5, I might moving back to CA and I won't need a second car (I also own a 3 series in CA) not to mention that I cant'a afford gas prices there.
So what do you think it's a good price for my 01 4.4 Titanium Silver w/black int. and 82k on the clock.
All the usual suspect bugs have been fixed, it is in excellent condition, I'll post pics later.
Thank you.

I am looking at a friend's 2001 x5 4.4 at the moment in white with 61k. He told me the dealer and used car dealers were offering trade in of 15k. He wasnt too happy about that so he may just keep it or sell it to me as is. He's done some maintenance work on it recently (new steering pump, rear control arms) so i know the mechanics are tip top. The exterior is probably average for a car this age.

If your car is pristine, you can probably get around $18+ but with gas prices on the rise, it may be a harder sell than a few years back. damn those gas prices!

good luck.

It's funny because suv's are still selling in big numbers despite gas prices.
My X is in excellent shape and all the mechanics have been dealt with as far as I know, if you go to a dealer they will always give you a lower price than what you'll get if you sell it yourself, that's the problem with trading it in.
