FS: Climate Control Panel

This is a fully working AC panel that came out of my 2002 4.4i X5. As is common, one of the buttons broke so I ordered the replacement button kit from the dealer. However, the buttons supplied with the kit would not work with the original faceplate. So, I swapped over the necessary parts and just used the faceplate and buttons that come with the kit. So it is a used control unit with no issues with brand new buttons.


You will notice that on the right side of the unit there is a vertical mark-this is where BMW applies a silver paint marking so that you will not use this faceplate assembly and just swap the buttons. I used nail polish remover and got the paint marking off, however my hard rubbing did cause the plastic to get a bit shiny in that area. It looks much worse in the picture, and one the unit is mounted in the X5 you never notice it at all.

I happened to come across a superb deal on a brand new, never used control panel about the same time I was waiting on the button kit to come in, so that is why this panel is up forsale. It has been tested and works perfectly-all buttons work and the display is nice and bright.

Part number is: 64 11 6 916 648 It should work for all X5's and will probably also work in E39's-but it is your responsibility to verify this. I guarantee it works, but will not accept returns for any other reason.
