FS: Winter Tire Setup - 17" Dunlop Winter Sport M2 on OEM Style 57, 85% tread

I just recently got a Brembo big brake kit and can't fit the 17" wheel anymore. The wheels are GENUINE BMW style 57 wheel. Wheels are in very good condition, no curb rashes or dents. Tires are Dunlop Winter Sport M2 225/65-17, they have 85% tread left. Used for 2 trips to Lake Tahoe so they have about 3000 highways miles on them. Located in Southern California. Willing to ship if buyer pays.

SOLD!

So do you need an 18'' or a 19'' wheel?

New member here! Actually, it's been soooo long, that I needed to re-register again.

Revjunky - I don't know if you've sold your tires yet, but I am interested IF they can fit my wife's vehicle and needs.

She owns a '06 X5, 4.4i which currently runs low profile, 19in. wheels. It has the sport package and other good stuff (including brand new Michelins). It is absolutely the worst drivin' in the snow rig that I've ever owned. My '67 Barracuda drove better on ice and snow!!

From reading a FAQ here, the 17's and 18's will likely do a much better job for me, but i have no idea. I also have no idea if the tires you're tryin' to sell will fit my wife's X5. If they do, will your 17's with the Dunlop's truly do the trick. If so, I'm interested.

I've heard of "spacers" here, but I don't know if I made a purchase of a smaller wheel, if I'd need them. If so, is it more about esthetics or out of necessity due to tolerances or some such reason?

Thanks for any help you might be able to give me. If you've already sold them, then congrat's to you on the sale, but I'm wondering if you still might enlighten me as to the questions I've asked. I also believe in being prepared, be it some 6 months away or whatever. I can't have my wife slippin' and slidin' all over the road just tryin' to get out of my level driveway, much less to work. And no, she's not a lousy driver, I found it to be totally worthless in the snow as well!

Much appreciated,

Ken

They'll fit your wife's 4.4 fine.

RevJunky - rather than miss the boat (as I've been known to do), please consider me interested and the first foot in the door if we can mutually agree on a bottomline #, inclusive of S&H. Being that we're on opposite sides of the planet from one another (US anyway), the S&H charges might be prohibitive.

I'll be checkin' in here, on and off, throughout the day, so please contact me when you have the time in any of the several ways available to you.

Thanks,

Ken
