Helping Friend FS: E53 Control Arms

Friend purchased these and no longer needs them. My vehicle is under warranty so I do not need them as well. They were purchased from FCPGroton. Blake is a good local friend of mine and he isn't a member so I told him I would help him out.

No, they're not OEM. I actually spoke w/ an FCP Groton rep yesterday on the phone while getting parts for my 740iL. The rep said they're best and most durable stuff is the Meyle and Lemforder parts, but I don't see them listed as an option for the E53.

Considering that FCP sells these arms for $105 each plus shippping, this is a great deal for both arms shipped for $90.

It is not Lemfoerder or Meyle which is the OE suppliers for BMW for control arms, suspension bushings etc.

I don't know the brand. Normally what FCP Groton sells is Karlyn, STI or similar. An OE Resplacement if you will. Like putting in a Duralast battery from Autozone instead of Interstate made OEM battery from the dealer.

I have used FCP Groton parts on many of my E30s. I rebuilt a whole front end with their parts and for that car the parts were all Karlyn. As said the deal is 50% off and if you want to DIY throw these in and off you go. He is outside the return window from dragging his feet. His e30 needs some work and these are sitting there. So they are for sale.

KingCon, who said they wouldn't fit an E53? Did you read the title on the thread or any posts within?

Just want to share some infor related. Nothing against Halston's sale, or any product made in China.

I was in need of such a pair of lower control arms and ball joints (on tension strut rod) a few weeks ago. I asked a question for the eBay item 350324712701. A FCP Rep was quite nice and answered my question very professionally and up front.

Here is the answer:

-----

Hello,
We have a company from China manufacture them for us to help you the consumer to save money on BMW parts. We also carry Lemforder and Meyle parts if you are interested. Please email me at he below info if you would like more info on your specific car.

Regards,

Ellison Clark

I then asked for a price quote for Lemforder and Meyle parts (control arm and ball joint) but I didn't hear her back. Searched their website but nothing showed up. I couldn't wait for too long; so I ended up with the followings from rmeuropean.com after some research. Pair of arms and pair of ball joints, all Lemforder, cost $290, free shipping (any order above $65).
