Brembo BBK

Up for sale is a Brembo bbk, 8 piston front- 1G1-9031A, 4 piston rear- 2C1-8006A. Red calipers. Very good condition. $7500 bbk, looking for 3k plus fees and shipping. So it is 1/2 price. Fitment is for 01 thru 06.

Will this fit a 08 x5?

Thanks for your interest. I would check with any Brembo dealer to be sure. My guess is no. Buy brakes.com is a place to check. Thanks again!

For those interested, keep in mind a set of pads....
Just pads ran me around $650'ish if I recall (both f/r)

Not sure of your point here. If you have purchased OEM pads for a X5 recently they are close to the same. I paid 465 for just the fronts on my 4.6is. If you go with cheaper pads and rotors then you go through the replacement brake parts routine on the X5's. I went down that path. Won't go there again. It is either OEM or upgrade for me. Thanks for the info though.

Bump for a great kit and a great price!

And the friction rings look to be in great condition too... mine are near the end of their life-cycle. The best pricing that I've found is through Robert Mack at [email protected]

380mm friction rings: $890 per pair
McLaren hardware for 380mm friction rings: $222 for front
345mm friction rings: $738 per pair
McLaren hardware for 345mm friction rings: $174 for rear

I'm not sure how long my system has been installed... I think right at over 100k miles. I'm sure pads have been replaced, but the friction rings are original, and only the fronts need replacing.

StopTech Street Performance pads for this kit can be found at Zeckhausen Racing:

Front - Zeckhausen Racing
Rear - Zeckhausen Racing

Just throwing some info out there.... this kit is well worth the money for spirited back-road drives, and a great price too!

Good luck with the sale 034.6!

chef, did your front pads have wiring attached for wear sensors? The StopTech street performance pads that I bought include them, but I haven't taken a wheel off to look for wiring on the installed pads.

I don't recall what I paid for OEM pads but they were nowhere as close....I sold my OEM rotors (2 months old, calipers with Brass bushings and OEM pads) all for $400'ish if I recall. No intent to jack your thread...just wanted prospective buyers to keep in mind the costs of pads.....

JB. When I purchased pads, the only fitments available for the fronts were Brembo only. There was no other fitment on the market at that time for the fronts. The Lotus rears are a dime a dozen. Brembo itself has 3 model #'s that will fit the Front. I loved the FM1000 compound and as luck turns out...it was the most expensive of the 3 compounds....I heard they were putting in slots for the sensors, but not on any of the ones I received was there a sensor slot...

Still don't get your point. What you sold your oem used parts for really has no relevance.......
