Can he just remove the pieces from the car and not the whole bumper etc. On my 07 it looks like the fender (frnt) and bumper are one piece. Damn the Safety guys

Is the hitch OEM and includes the trailer light harness? I live in NC, but I may be able to make the drive to do the swap. Have you gotten the price for labor charges to do the swap?

yes, all OEM and yes the trailer light hardness is there..

the local mechanic (former BMW shop tech) quoted ~$500 to do the swap but will need both cars in his shop at the same time.

let me know, we only have ~2 weeks to do the swap ...
