Just found out from the stealer that I need a new tranny for my 01 4.4. Any suggestions?

ZF/GM Factory Authorized rebuilder and one of the best I have ever come across. I'd bet most of the bay area dealers and shops get trannys from them, I give them a top rating.

$2900 to rebuild my tranny or $3600 for a rebuilt one from ZF. $800 to put it in.

My question is do recommend rebuilding mine or paying the extra 700 for a new rebuilt one from ZF?

If the warranty is the same go for the less expensive option. They are not a huge installer, they do a ton of rebuilding so they have a small bay that is usually full. The last car that i sent for a rebuild took 3 days FYI.
