I have one out of an e38 (2001 740i), it's the same thing except you might have to adjust the viewing angle as seen here: Adjusting viewing angle of nav screen - The Unofficial BMW M5 Messageboard (m5board.com)

Doesn't have the trim (piece #3 in above picture)
