BMW of San Francisco, SF, CA

The service department there is horrible. Every time I take my car in for service, I get an unpleasant surprise when I pick it up. The worst one was when I was picking it up to find that not only did they not wash my car, but they planted a scratch on the left fender of my then 4 months old '05 X5. I was horrified. Although they took care of it for free, it was still a waste of my time to go there and back and be without my car while they were working on it. The loaner situation there sucks, they say I have to make an appointment ~2 months in advance in order to get a loaner while my car is there for service. Communication really sucks, most of the time my service advisor doesn't return calls and is impossible to get a hold of. I try to stay away from that place as much as I can.

Do yourself and everyone a favor by composing your comments in a letter
and Mail it to the dealership service dept manager the dealershop manager
and BMWUSA, Also make sure you answer the call they make about how you were treated. Stir up a hornets nest my friend.

that wouldn't do much... BMWSF is notorious bad and they know it.. they're not doing much about it even with the worst CSI index in the bay area... go figure... I say just run away from them like the plague... plenty of much better service depts out there including Peter Pan in San Mateo and of course, the best service dept IMO in the bay area... East Bay...

There's actually a dealer called Peter Pan? Why does it have such a wierd name?

Oh I agree find another dealer but please don't let who ever it is off the hook regarding this kind of issue. I believe the squeeky wheel gets the grease and in this case they need to compensate you for what is a clear disregard for customer service. Me? I would talk about them sooo bad that they would eventually have to face the issue. Spreading the issue over every BMW web site avaliable till it get's their attention. But then again thats me it's OMHO. It's your call.
