Nalley BMW -- Atlanta, GA
Bought my X5 from Adrian Avila at Nalley BMW in Atlanta (Decatur). It was an excellent sales experience. In addition to being a Client Advisor, he is also the dealership's Internet Sales Manager. He's a regular on Bimmerfest on the "Ask-A-Dealer" forum if you ever go over there.
Haven't used Nalley yet for service, so I can't comment yet. For my M3, I've used both the Roswell and Gwinett locations of United BMW. Service at the Roswell location was pretty poor, but was outstanding at the Gwinett location (Scott Green, Assistant Service Mgr). |
Have you been to Global Imports BMW. There great!

The Atlanta Dealer Story
Here's my take on the Atlanta BMW dealer situation. I've interacted with all of the Metro Atlanta BMW Dealers: United Roswell, United Gwinnett, Nalley (formerly Chris), Hank Aaron, and Global. Each has it's strenghts and weaknesses from my experience.
NEW CAR BUYING: If you want a deal on a new BMW, go to Nalley or Global. Global is the volume player and Nalley is the "Avis" of Atlanta Dealers. I bought my X5 from Rob Zweig at Nalley and will always use him. Can't say much about Hank Aaron here. It's on the southside and I live in North Atlanta. Forget about either United location- they're not in the deal business, even for repeat customers. However, if you must buy your new BMW from United, use Greg Heiman at Gwinnett. By the way, I also used Nalley Lexus for my LX470 with complete satisfaction, so Nalley may have a good overall corporate philosophy. USED CAR BUYING: I don't buy used BMW's from the dealer. I believe that if you want to make a headsy buy of a used BMW, you do your homework and turn to eBay or Autotrader. SERVICE: Unless it's under warranty, I don't use the dealer- I live around the corner from the Bimmer Store and you can't beat their quality, price, and service (you can even get a loaner). The Bimmer Store is typically, 50%-75% the price of the dealer for comparable jobs. Since I now have a new X5 with dealer service included, I'll use Nalley or Gwinnett United. Roswell United doesn't seem to have their act quite together and Global's service is on par with the _______ (insert your favorite government agency here). Once again, I can't comment on Hank Aaron. BODYSHOP: I recommend United Collision, a sister to United BMW Roswell & Gwinnet. BMW sends all of their employee wrecked X5's all the way down from Spartanburg, SC... that's was good enough for me and I wasn't disappointed. Nalley has a couple of nice shops in Atlanta and might be worth a look. I don't think the other dealers have bodyshops. PARTS: Hands down! Cliff, Jeff, and crew at United BMW Roswell. If you're a BMW Car Club member you'll get 15% off. Personal, prompt, and accurate service. BEST CUSTOMER RELATIONS: Goes to United BMW. Every quarter, they take a busload of customers up to the BMW Performance Center for a free day of heaven on earth. Call Greg Heiman if you're interested. BEST OVERALL: United BMW of Gwinnett Responses are welcome. |
Cool nice review!!! If you get out of Warranty you can always go to Bavarian Imports on Howell Mill Road. I know the owner and they are GREAT!!! They have all the new computers and it is really cool what they can do. That is where we take our BMW's between warranty oil changes.

Bavarian Imports Service
Yes, I've heard good things about them. They've been there since I was at Ga. Tech over 20 years ago. But now that I live in Dunwoody, there are closer alternatives.
