Do Not Use BMW of Manhattan on 57 street
Do Not Use BMW of Manhattan on 57 street, They are the Worst, every single problem I have I always have to come back a week later or so for the same thing, Anyone has any other place in NYC where they do excellent work?
|
I use them but they are OK!!! Nothing special!!! I actually had a SA yell at me and when I mean yell, I mean all out :shutup:on the phone because I metioned my crappy experience with them at one time on bimmerfest ( I dropped a name which I should not have which I later edited out of the post. I kept my cool and didnt complain to the manager. I probably would not go back to them myself but only time will tell.

BMW of Manhattan on 57st SUCKS
I had my 2001 X5 for exactly one year now, I spent there already getting the problem fixed over $9000.00 and most of the repairs I gotten I had to go a second time for the same problem, then they find something else wrong and when I tell them about it and that why they did not find it in the first place they said the diagnosis machine did not pick this up the first time, I do get some reduced, but $9000 is a lot of money to shell for repeat problems, and I only go there because is next to my job, I think I am going to have to switch to the other Dealer downtown,

Manhattan BMW has no customer service skills.... I walked in dressed in my usual business suit... discussed the potential sale of an 08 X5.... already knew what options i wanted, SA said she would get back to me on options and trade-in info... never did... went back a week later.... got the same answer.... again no call or e-mail...
stopped by again two weeks later... still no info... but this time receive a "trade-in dept takes forever to get back to us" answer.. gave up and headed for Westchester BMW... there..i got trade-in info on the spot, negotiated a good price, good great finance rate, and was able to place order right then and there... a month later i got my new X5 with all the toys!!! My suggestion is to leave the city of cold hearted snobby dealers and head north where they have larger selections and are more family oriented. |
Every time I have called them, I simply hate their manner. You're right zero customer service skills...
I agree, go north young man! Or west or east, just not to 57th street... |
Usually on the forum we refrain from mentioning the dealer names, but just the same, STAY AWAY FROM ALLISON MT VIEW BMW in the SF Bay Area also. Same problem there
|
I never bought my X from them, but i noticed the parts dept guy never smiled and seems like to have a bad hair day all the time. Thats what i told one of the technician over there and he just laugh and nod his head, its like saying, he's nothing! I guess he didn't like him for some reason. When i came back one time, he's not there anymore and the guy who took over seems cool. Thank god!

so does any body have a location closer to brooklyn other than westchester bmw???

STEALERS Suck, They can't troubleshoot anything. shotgunning parts, they are very good at that. BMW Concord scammed my mom that she had air leak on her E39 after an oil service. Driving home from the dealer the car overheated because they cracked the radiator. I work on all my cars, they're only good for emergency parts and heck if they have the part I need in stock.

Don't know anything about them however they are in Brooklyn. |
I bought (leased) my '06 X5 from them, and service was outstanding.
However I bought it from one of my girlfriends that used to work there. If you want to buy ask for Jose and tell them that Alex Z sent you. If you need service talk to to Steven Itkin at service. Hope it helps someone. |
Long Island City
Took a drive over to this place on Tuesday to check it out. Very clean, looked professional, full of Bimmers. Their diag charge is $85 and labor about $95/hr but if they cant diagnose it, they keep trying at $85/hr. I have an extended warranty and I'm a little leary because I have an elusive issue with my truck as well.
Unfortunately my experience with your friends over on 57 St left my pockets $2300 lighter and they only fixed a torn intake boot (which didnt fix my drivability issue), a new door lock cylinder, torn axle boot repaired, and two keys. When I take it to them I will report back how good/bad they were. Anyone ever have any experiences with Hassel BMW or Rallye BMW for service? Thanks

On the downside, they were on the expensive side. The body work/paintwork was phenomenal though! |
how are the other dealers? such as life quality? do they all service why is it that the bmwusa site only recommends me to BMW manhattan? my car is there right now for service. so far, not bad. they;re taking awhile though, however they did offer to fix my mirrors which ARE covered under warranty while douglaston didn't.

rallye is pretty good. at least that i know of...haven't been there in a while.

Westchester BMW for me - Live on Dyker and LQ is a short drive away. I'd rather take the hrs drive to Westchester BMW anyday

I've yet to use them post change. However, based on the site....looks like the same ole gang....
Maybe I might be there again *in warranty* if I pick up a /// Just too $$$ to do to a dealer when out of warranty.... |
Not exactly correct. Not all STEALERS Suck.
I bought my ride from Concord and not once did I ever have a problem with their service. In fact they treated me like royalty every time I came in always providing a BMW loaner. I have had other experiences with other dealers and so far only one problem and it wasn't for service. Quote:

Got my E53 and E70 from them and the service and sales department is phenomenal. Even with the change over to Ray Catena, they have still exceeded my expectations. +1 for Westchester BMW (Ray Catena BMW)
|
manhattan is alright.. lack of attention and for some reason my SA called me back to ask if everything was alright...but he clearly didnt actually care, just for the sake of doing his job..
|
paul Miller in Wanye, Nj. great friendly people and they get the job done..... (only 15mins away from GWB -NEW YORKERS)

I had good experience with JMK, both buying and service, in and out of warranty. They did offer loaners without a problem.
