Bay Diagnostic is the place to go to. Guys are professionals and know what they're doing.

I had a PPI done at bay diagnostics and they did a good job but refused to give me a printout and estimate of the work needed because I didn't want to have it done there

Huh, it don't make any sense then, what did they say as answer to PPI? I would imagine that PPI would consist of general condition estimate+safety+diagnostic of electronics/mechanics to reasonable extend... If they did not tell you what you say they didn't, what did they say? "Nice car, you should buy it"? Are you sure there is no more to the story? Because I would understand not giving the estimate if you clearly expressed an opinion that you have no attention to have it fixed with them, I mean why would I calculate labor hours, parts availability and pricing, look for a better deal to give realistic/more competitive estimate clearly known that repair won't happen... - very logical but not telling you results of the findings... I don't know... You've got me curious... Well, my office just few blocks away - I'll ask them :)
Are you the seller or buyer?

I was the buyer but that is basically what happened. they verbally told me what was the problem so I webt outsude and called my mechanic and talked to him and he had a better price so when I went back inside he told me the work would be about $2500 and told me the car would be ready in 2 days. I told him no thanks and asked for a print out of what was the findings of the PPI he told me straight up he won't give me so I paid them for the PPI and I walked out of the office and left

It does not sound like them as I always got a fair/friendly treatment, every time, regardless of how much I spend but I guess if it was your experience that is a negative check mark for guys. Sadly.

I'm not mad at them or ever talked about what happened. this happened almost 3 years ago and this is the first time I'm talking about it. I just feel there should have been a little more professionalism even though I didn't want to do the work there. I got the impression of "take your shit and go".
