Sun Motor Cars BMW in Mechanicsburg PA

If at all possible use this dealer....and here is why:

I live in MD, my X5 broke down in PA. The X was towed to this dealer and when I got there they gave me a loaner X3 to drive home (yah home to MD, another state...2 hours away). They sent my X5 to the top of the service list because it was out of state. They resolved all issues and then delivered the car to me in MD and took their loaner back so I didn't have to make a trip to the dealer. And when I got the car back, they had detailed the exterior and the interior of the car.

Keep in mind, this is the first time I met this dealer...I did not buy my X there...however, I will be buying any other BMW there from now on!

Holy cow. I love hearing "these" kind of stories, especially after this...http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/...over-help.html

Obviously they were very good customer service wise, but Im curious. Was it a larger stlrship, medium sized? Im trying to understand what makes some differ so much from others in terms of customer service. Now a story like yours, I wouldnt EXPECT, but I do think if you spend the kind of loot we all have, a bit of respect and common courtesy aint that difficult... I will try to get my next Bimmer there of course....

I asked a similar question when I arrived to drop off the X5.

" With your dealership so out of the way, what kind of business do you guys do?"

his response

"Since we can't really complete with the level of sales that the city dealerships do we have to focus primarily on return customers based on service."

The dealership was relatively big, sold BMW, MB and Porsche so it wasn't small by any means. Very nice 2 story show room and coffee bar.

Wow. I wonder if that's the key? Just go to "out of town" dealerships? LOL...Ill be sure to test that theory!
