Ugh, I forgot to clean my wheels when I took them off this past spring.

Do you use OEM pads? Switch to a low dust pad like Axxis Deluxe and your wheels will stay cleaner longer.

I always wash my wheels after I take them off. Nothing worse than getting brake dust all over yourself when moving the wheels around.

Still using OEM. I have the maintenance so I let BMW change them. The brake dust is nasty. I always keep them clean but can't remember why I didn't clean those.

I have free maintenance as well but I figured the pads would last past the coverage period (low mileage vehicle) so I changed them anyway with >50% left on the pads. My summer wheels have an anodized aluminum finish that the OEM brake dust seems very fond of so it was well worth it to switch.
