Black trim recommendations?

I asked this in the Zaino thread, but it got lost:

What's your weapon of choice for the black trim? Have you tried Z16? (I think that's the #) I've been using Mother's Back to Black since Driver8's "Lost in the Woods" post way back when. I like it, but it lacks durability. I've also used Meguairs #38 Tire & Trim dressing gel with good results. Anyone have any experience with Black Again?

I'm not looking for a black dye-type product.

Thanks for your input.

Why do you need to dye the trim is it sun bleached? For if you simply have wax on it Lexol Vinylex should do the job. I tried 303 Aerospace but it is very expensive and does not last as long. I only use Black Again when I purchase a used car that has not been cared for nor garaged.

Black Again works great. GR40 works better.

but I would make sure to have all waxes/polishes removed from the rubber trim first with either a paint prep solution (pepsol or acrysol), 50/50 water/vinegar mix, alcohol/water, etc... once the rubber trim is clean, then use the rubber protectant/shine stuff.

word out from the motorcycle clan is a product called "pig spit" or something like that.. silicon base, won't dry out nor smear chrome/paint, won't collect dust either. i have yet to try it tho.

I use WolfgangVinylRubberProtectant, made in germany. Very good product. Mother series is not too good.
