Premium 'armor all' type substance?

So i used to have a dealer friend/acquantaince at VW when i had a jetta. They told me that they had this substance, like a super armor all that they would apply on new cars - specfically on the rubber moldings - that gave it this lustrious 'out-of-the-box' shine and newness.

He said it was called Maui Powie, hawaiian shine, or something. I watched him put it on some cars that were headed to the lot, and it gave it an instant refined look.

Have y'all heard of this? Do you know where I can find this substance? My moldings are getting gray, worn, and sundried. That armor all stuff just kinda coats it and makes it look oily and unnatural. Like you can always spot a car that armored all they're car....

The best IMO is the Aerospace 303. Gives a good shine but not a bling bling Armol All look. Most importantly it is one of the best protectants you will find anywhere. Good for rubber, plastic, vinyl, leather, etc.

Aerospace...

can be purchased at Napa Auto Parts stores or online from http://www.properautocare.com/index.html. I have to tell you that it is not inexpensive and is best when applied liberally. I have since switched to Lexol Vinylex which has the same UV provection and IMO better brings the exterior rubber back to a new-like appearance.

I was about to say something sarcastic (Shaka sarcastic, say it ain't so), but I restrained myself. ArmorAll is pretty much a solution of suspended oil in water. IMO, it offers little to know long term benefit unless you are comparing it to doing nothing to your dash and trim. It creates a slick, greasy, un-natural looking surface that attracts dust and dirt like a magnet. Lastly it provides no UV protection and does nothing to condition the material.

this is true.... but i just used it on the exterior bumpers and plastic parts. as far as interior i've been using the Lexol cleaner and conditioner. not bad. not great. but works.

Excellent! I assume you only use the cleaner and conditioner on the leather and Vinylex on the dash, trim, etc.?
