A Question for Phil

I have been reading about the PosiTest DFT, A couple of detailers use them and I was wondering if you had any expierience with one. Can you explain to me what they do and if would be beneficial for me to get one or am I just throwing away my money :rofl: Thanks in advance

I have a paint meter and use it on every car before paint correction.
Its a good idea to have one if you detail cars or plan on doing wetsanding/paint correction etc..

You can also use it to gauge paint if you are purchasing a CPO /Used car.

How are you currently detailing you car with a rotary or orbital?

If they weren't so effing expensive i would own one now. I don't do enough side work to necessitate the purchase though. One of my buddies purchases cars at auction for a local stealership and he swears by it, not having to rely on the often times unreliable carfax to tell you if there has been any paintwork.

I agree not worth it unless you got a few bucks to burn or you plan on a ton of paint correction details.

the kit is still available ...

as for the paint meter its worth it if you have that many cars you can use it on.
