rejex

Anyone use Rejex on a black car? thoughts? recommendations?

Thunder22 03-05-2008 08:59 PM

no one? wow....

chefwong 03-05-2008 10:23 PM

I had to google it....never seen or worked with it.

My preferred combo on black with be Clear Kote Red Moose Glaze followed by Souveran

If you want easy and something more durable, Detailers Domain sells Einszett Glanz Wax which is very easy to apply.

Wax will always be a subjective answer :-)

gresch, Maybe it's because no one has ever heard of it?

From its website, it looks a little too "amateurish" for use on an expensive car...

On the Corvette forum Rejex seems to be the most popular wax. It "sounds" good to me and I was thinking of trying it too, but I still have a ton of Zaino left so it won't be anytime soon. Did you ask the same question over there? You might get more of a response since it's so popular with the Vette guys...

Never been to the corvette forums, but I'm surprised it's not Zaino that is most talked about.

Gresch - What are you looking for in a protectant - looks, durability or middle ground between the 2. I've done various things over time and for 2008 , I'm probably going to go all glaze/caranuba ...if the dust or pollen don't drive me nuts.

It's very very popular on the Vette forums, so I was curious if anyone here had tried it on their x... no biggy. It's not a wax, it's a polymer, some say that they only apply it once every few months (some say 6!).

Zaino is very popular on Vettes too, as is Maguiars and all of the other products that we obsess about over here :)

Anyway, I guess I've got my answer.

I haven't used it on the X5 (using Zaino AIO), but it's good on my 5. Makes cleaning bugs off in the summer season a breeze, and works nicely to repel water off the windows, too. A couple of members on a 5 series board www.e60.net who've used it are pleased with the product.

The X is now curing in the garage after it's first Rejexing.
I'll follow up with results tomorrow (it has to cure for 12 hours).

I like Zaino the best but am considering trying Rejex on my wife's X3. It's also popular with the Porsche crowd - lot's of Zaino vs Rejex discussions on their boards. A lot of people love it for wheels.
