Black leather care
 

Whats the best way to clean and condition Black color leather seats?

I have had no luck using 3 different brands including BMWs own and still not happy with the results. First just cant get the leather to come out soft and shiny plush. The worst part is the white residue left over!

Maybe I am using a wrong technique. Any help is appreciated.

The OEM conditioner WILL work, but you have to use it regularly. After a few weeks, you will notice the plush feel, and more importantly, you will not get the "off the shelf" smell that some conditioners leave. Its not an overnight process unfortunately. Ive been doing my seats about once every other week for 6 months with OEM conditioner, and I am just now starting to notice the resisitance to stains, and other residue. There are other options out there as well, as far as Ive heard...

good to know, i did a search about this also..i guess i should get some conditioner asap for the napa to stay soft....

I've been using Lexol cleaner and the conditioner and it's been the best i've found at least on sand leather.

LeatherZ.com recommends Spinneybeck. I have some but haven't applied it yet. :dunno:

I just used meguires 2step leather cleaner and conditioner. So far it worked pretty good. i used that product on my last car too. it restored my leather so i can see the 2 tones again

Thanks to all. I think Black color has some very unique issues due to showing any residual affect.

I use the 2 Zaino leather products (beige) and am very happy with them. Very easy and nice smell, but the smell doesn't last more than a few days...
