treating worn plastic area around nav knobs

got my "as new" 16:9 screen in to find that there are subtle wear marks around the knobs on both sides. i cleaned with a degreaser, but the "shine" is still there. is there any way to treat this area? any thoughts are welcome.

TIA

Assuming that you can remove the cover, you can paint it all the same colour as that normally used to spray "unpainted "plastic bumpers.(black plastic look)thís should be an almost exact match!Firstly you need to degrease it,apply some transparent plastic primer and then spray black paint.Use a heat gun to bake the paint.

You can try some of the BMW Plastic Emulsion. Sounds like you are talking about "shinny" like from grease on fingerprints?? Also simple green then treat with the emulsion. I like this stuff because it does not create any shine effect. Hope that helps

Can you pull the knobs off like u can on the business CD player. If so, I would pull them off, user a citrius based cleaner and just treat it with a little 303.

Suggest you go into a DIY store/paint shop and take the 16.9 plastic cover with you to compare for a colour match. Before you do apply it onto your 16.9 plastic cover,do try out first on any other plastic surface ,wait for it to dry and compare the colour with your 16.9 plastic cover.
Ensure that you tape up the Led window on the cover b4 spraying....
