Griots? Daily Driver wax question
Hello all.
I just bought a sapphire black E70 4.8. I also have a 997 C2S cab which I am meticulous about. I normally use products from Griots and have had great success. I see some of the things in DD and am interested, but I also know there are only slight, marginal differences. The rubber seal from Eisen-whatever, and teh cockpit look good to me, but I use Griots clay bar and their best of show wax with a sealer already on the outside. I am good with all th above, but the interior products look good to me from DD and Eisen... Thoughts? Also The best of show wax from Griots is a "Show" wax. It is meant to BLING more than seal, so my C2S is a garage kept nice day car. Never sees rain or bad weather, so this is perfect. The X5 is my Daily Driver so I want a more sturdy wax. I appreciate any thoughts you guys have as well as experiences. Thanks! |
I used to be a Griots guy. The only thing I use now is the clay and the speed shine (lubricant for the clay). I started using products from Detailer's Domain, like the Menzerna polishes and the Swissvax Blau Weiss for the paint, and have recently purchased some of their interior products. Been extremely pleased with my selections.
As far as Griot's best of show products, I had mixed feelings about them. For one, it is a PITA to remove. Been very pleased with the Swissvax stuff, since it's easy to apply and remove.. |
Thanks for your reply! I appreciate all comments and opinions on here and am happy to hear people's experiences with certain products. The Swiss Vax stuff looks great, but salty too. Since I have a Sapphire Black Metallic paint, they do have a wax that is specifically for dark metallic paints. Thanks again!
and great write up on cleaning wheels! |
