Michelle's X5 all cleaned up....(understatement)

Michelle thanks again for supporting us the way you do! Well as promised here is your jet black 4.4 all cleaned up. BTW your text to me when you picked up made my weekend!

The plan of attack was pretty much the same as Wil's X, make them not want to sell it.

What's first....we sprayed the wheels down with P21S Wheel Cleaner Gel, next the wheel wells were sprayed with P21S Total Autowash as well the tires where sprayed as well. Bug and tar were presoaked as well with P21S Total Autowash...you get the picture.

We then went on to fill the foam canon with Adam's All Purpose Cleaner knocking out any previous wax, bug and tar and anything else not taken care of by the P21S. The X was rinsed and with the water still on the X we moved on to claying the car, including windows.

After claying we moved on to access the condition of the paint. I moved on to using Menzerna Super Intensive Polish followed by Menzerna PO85RD to finish off the paint correction. The window trim was polished out using Menzerna PO85RD. As a last step I used Swissvax Blau Weiss for the first time and I have to say it made the car pop very nicely. :wow:

Interior was just vacuumed.

The final touches:
The plastic trim was taken care of with Black Wow.
Windows were cleaned with Lusso Glass Polish.
Tires where dressed with Swissvax Pneu.
Door Jambs were cleaned up using Einszett Spray Wax (cleans nicely and adds some protection)

Enjoy I did! We watched this car go from pretty beat up to just amazing I wish the sun was out...

Thanks again Dan for coming out to help me get this to Michelle before their meet!

Lovely pics! A dumb question for the blau weiss....I know it's "formulated" for BMW paint jobs, but would it be suitable for other types of metallic paints (such as other car manufacturers)?

Cheers,
Dan

Nice job as usual. Michelle needs a new set of pedals though. ;)

J.Belknap 06-11-2009 09:42 PM

Michelle, the X looks outstanding. :)

Love the attention to detail.

Phil, is this a traveling service, or does the car travel to you?

(The long drive would likely negate the benefits... time to learn how to do this advanced detailing stuff myself. haha)

I wish they had detailing companies with that good of service down here... I just need to make the time to work mine up like that.

I do myself as Phil is far, not so difficult if you have all the stuff.
Phil is having a sale so stock-up

askhao 06-11-2009 10:02 PM

nice job!
how long does a process like that take?
i would make a drive down there if i can just wait it out.

detailersdomain 06-11-2009 10:11 PM

total time it took was 11 hours for the exterior.

I don't think you would want to wait that long.

:wow: Look at Danica!!

Great job, as usual.

PersonaNonGrata 06-12-2009 03:02 AM

Amazing! The paint looks like it was just poured on.

Michelle also need some new Centric rotors with powder coated hats so no rust. :D
